Not really sure where to post this, but was just wondering if DU charged a fee? Made room only reservations for 2008 and then went to Disney's website and got a quote for the same days {yes it's for 2007} and it came to over $100 cheaper to go with Disney's website. They showed there was tax added to the quote {wonder if it's both taxes county and resort}. Even if DU figured what the 2008 rates would be, would it really cost over $100 more to go in 2008? :confused3 Plus on my quote from DU it said it was for 2007 rates and when the 2008 rates came out, my quote would adjust to the correct rate.

Anyone have something like this happen to them?

TIA!!!!

I am using DU (Rhonda) and she has been awesome. I did change my ressie an called Disney for a quote before I told her (she had checked a lot for me and I felt guilty). It was the same. She will also be checking for any discounts that come out. I dont think it is different. In fact, I know mine was not. She has also made all ADRs and even got us in at CRT ................I would use them again.

I don't know if DU charges a fee, so I can't answer that question. However, your 2008 quote is likely 2007 rates during regular season. If your dates actually fall during value season in 2007, the 2007 quote on the website would be lower. Once 2008 rates are released, your quote would be revised to reflect the 2008 season and the 2008 rate.

If you call Disney directly to book a 2008 room ony reservation now, they will quote 2007 regular season rates, with the warning that the rates will go up or down depending on the season your dates fall in. Even if your dates are historically always in value season, they will charge you regular season until those dates and rates come out. Make any sense at all? That might account for the $100 price difference if you compare the value season and regular season rates.

Thanks! That does make sense! :) Guess I will just have to wait and see what happens when room only rates are released.
