This summer we will be meeting family at Dolphin. My FIL is only able to walk extremely short distances (knee replacement gone bad). Last time we took them the Wilderness Lodge loaned us a chair for our entire stay for use at the resort as well as parks. Does the Dolphin do this too ? I emailed Starwood and their reply said :

"I spoke with Gee Gee at The Walt Disney World Dolphin and have been advised that there is a complimentary wheelchair for use in the hotel only. The Conceirge may assist guests with reserving the wheelchair; however it can not be guaranteed for the entire length of a stay. I apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced as a result of this. "

OH NO :scared1: !! What does THAT mean  ??? If we can't take it to the parks, how much does it cost to rent one from someplace - or would disney loan us one ?

I was running an event at the Swan a few months ago and one of our speakers need a wc. My contact said htey only had two wheelchairs for the guests and they were for inside the hotel only.

You might want to look at the "disABILTIES FAQ" and see about rentig one for the entire stay from off-site.

Why not rent him a scooter from an offsite vendor? Then he can get around on his own, and no one has to push him all the time.
