The cupcake thread got me to wondering.

If so, where do you hang out while waiting for it?

If not, is there something else similar (an end-of-the-night good-bye) at DLR or CA?

My boys' still bring this up anytime someone asks us about last year's vacation. I can't figure out why it made such a big impression...other than it was 2 a.m. and they were so tired they were loopy :rotfl:.

Thanks for any inside info you regulars can provide!

The what?? We've been APers for a while now and I have no idea what you're talking about....and we close the parks down almost every night we are there.

We get an invitation over the loudspeakers to stay an extra hour on Main Street and spend more money. Yep, that's about it.

As a WDW vet, I love the Kiss Goodnight and the characters on the train in the morning. DLR opens and closes with much less fanfare. I don't even remember seeing them have a family of the day that opens the park...maybe they do and I missed it. :confused3

I loved my visit to DLR though, but it is different.

Booming over the loud speakers throughout the Park:

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Disneyland has concluded its regular operating hours. For your shopping convenience, the shops on Main Street will remain open for an additional hour."

..... if that's a good night kiss.
