Does Disneyland offer room specials in spring?

My family and I have been to disneyworld each of the last four years. We love the resorts/pools and entire interactive experience. However this year we might try the mouse on the left coast on our annual vacation. Right now disney world is running a 30% off special on rooms in may. My question is does disneyland usually do the same later in the spring? I have done a bunch of reading on the boards, and it seems that staying on site isn't as big of a deal as in orlando, but my 7 and 9 year old daughters love the disney resorts in florida with the pools beaches etc. It appears that the Grand California is the closest to what we have stayed in the last few years (polynesian), but the cost is pretty high for a slower season. Right now disneyland is running a special of 25% off but travel must be done before april 11th. Thoughts?

I'm with you....usually I'm heading to WDW but next month it will be Disneyland as part of a trip to California. We always stay on property at WDW, but probably won't at DL, as it is just not the immersion experience you get at WDW. I love the resorts of WDW, both the Moderates and Deluxe categories.

Right now for DL, we have reservations at The Anabella, where we stayed once about eight years ago. It is across the street from the DLR. We have stayed at the DL Hotel and the Paradise Pier, although that was before Disney purchased it and it was called The Pan Pacific. I think the Grand Californian is most in line with the resorts we are used to at WDW, but I have a hard time justifying the cost of staying there. I'm still considering it, though.

You mentioned your girls and the pool....both the DLH and Grand have fun pools.

Everywhere in the DL Area charges a bunch for overnight parking too.

I just booked the Grand Californian today through Orbitz. There is a Spring special that is 20-25% off (I have no idea, but it was reduced even when I called the direct number). I also used promo code PACKUP to get a bigger discount. It was still very expensive, but instead of $400+ a day, it was $370ish. The discount off the Disney spring discount was another 114 for only 2 nights!

My DH has Parkinson's and will not tour both days with us, so I am getting the hotel so he can enjoy March Madness in comfort or get a massage on site, and we can run back to see him for lunch the day he is not going to be with us.

We are only doing 2 nights, but we are from NE so will not get out there any time soon !!
