One of the people we are traveling with will be celebrating their birthday while we are in Disneyland. I know that WDW gives out a pin or something like that for birthdays, does Disneyland do anything similar or special for birthdays?

Thanks!!!

DL gives out the same pins for Birthdays. I had one a few years ago. All the cast memebers are supposed to say Happy Birthday but I think that's where it ends.

Goto the City Hall and ask for a birthday button, they'll write the persons name onit for them (Well the Tour Guide did for us lol) and then little things can happen...if you go on the tour of the torrtilla factory, they'll get a free bag of tortillas. But every CM will whish them a happy birthday which is kinda cool.

You can also buy birthday cakes from someplaces but that costs extra on your part...and no problem. I Know that if you get a cake or tell the CMs at the character meals they'll sing happy birthday.

But the character meals cost extra of course...and your welcome.

You can also (Maybe) get a free cookie at the Pacific Wharf Cafe. We went on my birthday and they gave me a free cookie.

You can also get a special birthday phone call from Goofy and some restaurants give the birthday person a free dessert. I know that Cafe Orleans does.

You can also get the free phone call at City Hall or the Poohs Corner Candy Shop. Also, a ton of people in the park will wish you a happy birthday, we always do!

I'm planning to get a pin for myself when we go...our last day is the 24th, and my bday is the 27th. Woo-Hoo!

My now six year old's bday was today - he's gonna want one too...of course if he gets one, then my four year old will want one - even though his bday is in March...lol...maybe they'll have a special pin for the two of them that will make them feel special and I can be the only one with a bday pin...lol

disney has been running out of... or changing the birthday "pin" to stickers.

boooooooo!

If it's there first visit, you can always go for the first visit button that they give out. I'd love one of those, but alas my first visit was 20 years ago. Maybe in August I can convince them to give me a first visit button in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of my first visit. Yes, I'm a Disney geek/nerd.:rotfl:

There's buttons. If you don't get 1 at City Hall, try some other locations that are busy with lots of CMs. Maybe the Emporium? Innoventions? There are definitely buttons.

Hey, my 40th anniversary of visiting DL is coming up. Do you think they have a special pin for that? I guess that makes me a Disney geek/nerd too. :goodvibes

I am planning my first trip to DL in Aug.But it will be my bf's birthday so I checked into doing some kind of surprise for him. I called disney vacation planner and they informed me that if you stay on property you can call one of the restaurants and order a birthday cake. You pay extra of course depending on how big of a cake you order. Also, you can order a birthday bucket. They come in Sorcerer Mickey or Princesses. They cost $20.00 and come with a plush toy, individual birthday cake, a disney pin, and other toys, etc. They can also deliver gift baskets to the room for a nominal fee. HOpe this helps! :cutie:

There are Happy Anniversary buttons that Cast Members can give out. Congrats on your 40th!

We stayed at the DLH last year and got Anniversary Buttons for our 14th Wedding anniversary. All the CM's would wish us a Happy Anniversary and I think it got us a couple of other perks, like being able to ride in the Lilly Belle car. They're great!

I noticed the birthday stickers a couple weeks ago. But I noticed some people had buttons. I haven't seen the stickers since I went for my birthday in 2006 and we've been going every birthday since then. Maybe they are running out?

I like the design on the sticker better than the design on the pin, but I like the pin way better because it is a pin..
