Does Disney regret Aulani?

In summary, 60% of tourists visited Oahu, with the other 40% percent spread across all the other islands. In other words, Oahu is the most visited island, by far. So, I doubt Disney is regretting their choice of island to put Aulani on.
Diamond Head, Waikiki and Pearl Harbor are the most famous/popular Hawaii tourist attractions, all on Oahu. Not saying they're the best or even good, or that they're the "real Hawaii", but the numbers are the numbers.

I never knew the sparkly bands were DVC-Y only! Our first ever trip pre-covid was booked on a resale membership (although we had other DVC-Y memberships) and we had sparkly ones. Hmm. Guess this was like DVC MM nights, where in the past, it didn’t matter what points/membership was used for the resort stay, during resort guest early registration.

IMO, from what I’ve researched, Oahu is not the island of choice by many.

Though I’ve never been to Hawaii, so what do I know?
We have only been to Oahu,,,and it did not disappoint. We hope to visit the other islands in the future,,but we will be back to Oahu as it was great for us.

It's my understanding that Aulani owners are mostly booking at WDW which could(is) cause(ing) availability issues at WDW resorts. That could be a regret. For WDW DVC owners anyway. I have no proof. Just what I have heard in the past.
Are you talking at 7 month bookings? WDW DVC owners should still have an advantage at 11 months with their home resort as long as they do not wait until 7 months to book.

Yes. People are buying Aulani as home resort but mostly booking WDW at 7 months. Makes sense.
