About the only Discounts are AAA, Ap Holders, and DVC owners. The AAA discount seems to be good as the others. We got 20% off for the last of Oct-Nov on a Preminum site...
I've generally gotten a AAA discount or AP discount in a lot of my Fort stays that I booked well in advance.
Usually for the value and pre-holiday seasons AAA discount is better than AP discount.
Sometimes the campsites will have some of the public offers.
They have never participated in the 4 for 7 or 5 for 2, or Free Dining offers.
I would recommend contacting rhonda@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com She is an expert at Ft. Wilderness campsite reservations and will get you the best deal possible for your campsite stay!!
Go during value season with a AAA or FL resident rate and get a partial site for like 30$. I used to know the difference in prices between sites, but I don't know what they are since the upgrades.

Sept 30th - I overheard some people on the campground bus saying something to the effect they got a 20 or 50% discount on their site. I was so tried and leaving anyway, so I didn't ask if it about it, but I assumed it was for October.
1) They do not need to discount, other than AAA/DVC/AP.
2) They are too busy.
3) In the pat five years, three major campgrounds in the area closed.
4) So, campsites are at a premium.
5) Thus, FW got business from the closures.
AAA discount is available during ALL seasons; I have gotten them. The only time you cannot get a AAA discount is over some holidays. You just have to book early inorder to get them.

Hm-m-m-m-m, wonder why the campground is almost empty now if they are so-o-o busy. If it weren't for the locals, the campground would be empty on the weekends too. During the week, numerous loops are totally empty, no campers in them at all. They aren't even close to being full on the weekends either. I think they need to offer some more discounts and wouldn't be surprised if they offer some over the winter months, as previously posted.

Rusty....what campgrounds closed? I know about the one on US Hwy 27 & CR 474 -but that closed like 4 years ago. You're not including that old, run-down campground behind the restaurant on 192W, are you? Or "Mouse Mountain". The only one of those I'd consider "major" would be the one on 27.
We drop by the Fort many times a month & also camp once a month, and to be quite frank with you, I haven't seen the Fort this "un-busy" since the early 80's when Disney begged you to extend your stay.
The full-hook up & prefered sites are hard to get because no one wishes to spend all their money on a premium. Why would you want to do that when you can stay at a value resort for the same amount & get a dining plan?
I'm going to guess that, even though I can't get a ressie for a full-hook up or prefered between Thanksgiving and Christmas right now, as the time nears, people will cancel their ressies & I'll pick up something.
I was surprised at how dead it was. With as hard as it was to look for ressies for Halloween, I wonder how full it's actually going to be. I got ressies for the first week of Nov, but I didn't get what I wanted. I'm hoping I can.
Just a reminder that you can still check for discounts after you've booked your campsite. For example, just a few weeks about we booked a Full Hook Up for 10/7 - 10/15. At that time I was told AAA and AP Discounts weren't available (you have to book them early!). Well I checked the Passholder website last night and sure enough, the AP Discount was available. Since Guest Services was closed, I called first thing this morning and had the AP Discount applied to my rate!! So making a quick call 2 days before check in saved us $90!! Woohoo!!
