does disney dining ever not change an AR when changing from odd to even #?

just called disney dining to change an AR at LeCellier from 1 person to 2
They said Im at a 2 top already and didnt make a change - should they have?
or would there then have been a problem making a new AR?

Since there are no tables for one you already had a table for two booked. They wouldn't change a 3 to a 4 or a 4 to a 3 either.

Most tables are for even numbers.
