Does Dis offer bed rails???

When we go down next year for October DD will be 2.5 and we figured we will be changing her crib into a toddler bed with the side rails. But does Disney have side rails? MIL and DD will share a bed (MIL's idea) andI want to know I can get side rails for one side of the bed at least so DD doesn't fall out of the bed.

Thanks, I know I'm planning far ahead!! But we can book this trip while we are down there, I love planning and I want to make sure I have everything figured out before we go in November.

Yes they do-you have to request them in advance when you book your hotel (or you can modify your rezzie and add them). We had one for our 2 yr old DD when we went in 12/04 @ the Beach Club, but it was quite flimsy, so we ended up just using the 2 wooden chairs next to her side of the bed that I shared with her.....

We stayed at Pop Century two summers ago and the first night we were there we realized my dd needed bed rails. We just called the front desk and they brought them right to our room within about 15 minutes.

We just shoved the mattress against the wall on the one side--while one of us slept in the same bed.

I have been to Disney yet with a kid, we are going in Sept But we are staying at ASMo and I requested bed rails when I made the reservations. I would just call them and request them.

The chair idea works well too, if the chairs are HEAVY. My son turned 2 in Feb and we just got back on vacation. He slept in a twin bed there, one side was against the wall and we put a big chair on the other side of him and we had no problems. I don't know if it is 100% safe though. We were planning on using a bed rail then, but the bed rail wouldn't work on the beds since there wasn't a box spring.

Just stayed at POR and used the Bedrail--worked great and the added security helped my ds sleep all nite. I reserved it but it was not in my room when I got there and I just called housekeeping and 10 minutes later, I had a bedrail.

Our 2 boys were 2 1/2 y/o when we went in JAN/FEB this year. We pushed the bed against the wall and used bedrails on the side and end of the bed. Worked great for us!
