Does DCA open before official posted opening time?

We will be at DCA next Tuesday (Dec 14th) and I was just wondering if it tends to open a little early like WDW parks do in the morning? Or will it open promptly at 10 am?

We've only been to DL before, so this is our first time visiting DCA and we only have one day so we really want to use our time well.
It shouldn't be too crowded right?

DCA's gates usually open at 9:30. The only ride open at that time is Soarin'.

That's the way it was when we were there in November too. Soarin is a great ride if this is your first visit....you will want to do it more then once!

Have a great time!!!! Even if it is crowded the pathways are very wide and you do not notice it as much. Be sure to get your free tortilla!!
