Does Christmas book up instantly?

I was just looking at making reservations for this Christmas, but the only available sites are tent/popup sites. Do the RV sites (full hookup, preferred, and premium) fill up pretty much the day they go on sale?

Yes. well pretty much,,okay ,sorta kinda,,
but it does go pretty quick.

For many years , that was the only time we had a chance to go, so if we wait'd too long then there were times we had to be persistent and really work at gettn certain dates,,but we always managed to get what we wanted,,,IF we didnt wait too long.

I would suggest you keep trying. I got a reservation and couldn't get all the days and just kept checking and eventually got the days I wanted.

Not sure of the dates you're looking for, but we are looking to go to the Fort the week after Christmas 0of this year I started calling the week after Christmas this past year and was told the entire month of December was booked. I then started to call about every two weeks and whenever the urge to call hit me. So far, I have managed to get all but one day. Right now I have 3 separate reservations for the combination of days. Now to score the 31st and we will be golden!

Not sure what I will do after I finally manage to get the 31st... You know, its the thrill of the hunt!

One of the best tips I was given and will pass on is try to book dates longer than you actually need. Seems the reservations open up. You book it and then call back and cancel off the days that you do not need.

We finally got full hook up reses for 12/24/10 to 1/15/11 after calling every day for about 15 days. Initially we had 12/28 to 1/15, but were able to add one or two days on some calls. Finally I had to reserve a premium site under a separate res, then when the full hook up came available, canceled the premium.

In other words keep calling daily until you get what you want, even up to the day before
