if I book an 8 o'clock character breakfast at MK or HS, will that allow me in the park before 9? And more importantly, can I get a fastpass for toy story mania before or right at 9 this way?? Thanks

If you are at the H&V breakfast you cannot leave the area in the front of the restaurant until the actual rope drop time. And since you will not be on Hollywood Blvd it may take you a little longer to get to TSM.

However in MK, you can be on the hub when the park opens to everyone and that much closer to Space or Splash.

You will be allowed in to go to the restaurant. After you eat, you will not be allowed out of the front of the restaurant until the rope drops. Then right away you could head to whatever ride you want to.

nope, you get to make the mad dash right along with the rest of us:thumbsup2

Although as others have pointed out you won't have access to attractions or FP machines ahead of time, early entrance does give you a few moments to get some family pictures taken in the parks without anyone else in them. These can be really wonderful -- just have your camera and everything ready and be relatively speedy with the process and the CMs will allow you to do this.

thanks everyone! I actually read that play n dine will not be open until 9 am starting in january, so that is out anyways. But it sounds like it doesn't give you much of an advantage. MK's crystal palace sounds good (too bad my kids are terrified of pooh!)

I took my DD to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for the first appointment of the day (before the MK opened). It was awesome because we got to go in & walk down Main St. right to the castle & we were the only people there! My DH and DS were able to go in with us too & go right up to a certain point (not sure exactly where b/c I wasn't with them). They were the first people into the area of the ride they wanted to go on. Granted, it wasn't one of the more "popular" rides (it was Buzz Lightyear), but they did get to go on 6 times in a row:laughing:

Back in September 2005 we had breakfast reservations at CRT for the first seating of the morning. It was pretty neat walking down Main Street when it was completely empty. It was very quiet and surreal. When we were done eating we only had to wait at the castle for a few minutes until rope drop.
