Does changing your resort remove the room request on file?

Several days ago, we called and placed a room request on a resort-only reservation. Last night, we changed the resort for that reservation via MDE. Does anybody know if this will remove the room request we had on file? The request will remain the same, so we want it to stick.

I called last night, and there was a 90-minute wait time. Called again a few minutes ago with the same wait time. Ugh.

Likewise... will visiting the front desk that morning and placing the room request have the same effect? We should be at the resort no later than 9 AM.

Edit: Spoke to a CM and she confirmed that changing the resort removed my room request.

Rumor has it that rooms are assigned 2 weeks before arrival, so I wouldn’t wait until the morning of your arrival. I’d probably keep calling occasionally until I got a reasonable wait time, or if possible email, but don’t know if requests ‘carry over.’
 
This thread can be closed... I finally got a hold of a CM and she confirmed that changing the resort does, indeed, wipe out any room requests.

Glad you got good news. About a year ago I changed resorts and had a very hard time getting rid of the old request. It stayed "first" and after a couple more calls I gave up.

Yeah, I switched from AKL for next month, and I can confirm my original room request is still on the reservation.

Honestly? It makes perfect sense that it would wipe them out. Requests tend to be resort-specific, so a request for one may make no sense for another.

Well "makes sense" and Disney IT are very different things, unfortunately. I think the system sometimes has difficulty deleting things. I booked a mod, changed to AKL but the mod request (listed first) stuck like glue.
 
All info stays with the res. CAN NOT be removed actually . C/i many reservations that requested items that were not offered at that resort
