Does Boma serve lunch? We leave Tuesday, and it'd be easier to squeeze in my schedule as a lunch.

I've always avoided it because we're Irish - if it isn't brown or white, we don't eat it. OK, spaghetti - but just a wee bit of sauce, thanks.

But I keep hearing how FANTASTIC this place is, and saw a thread this week where a bunch of people said that even the boring can find food they like. And it might not be a bad idea to TRY something different (I tried hummus on pita once, YUK!, but I did it.)

Thanks!

Sorry, no lunch at Boma. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner.

If you are not adventurous eaters, I would think twice about dining there.

That said, we ate there in November and my DSs who are teenagers really liked it BUT they tried just about everything. I saw adults eating mac and cheese with French fries. Not really my idea of dinner especially at a place like Boma! :goodvibes

Boma does not serve lunch. It has a breakfast buffet and dinner buffet. Have an early dinner at Boma. They serve so many different types of food. I'm sure your family will find plenty to eat. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is worth the trip. It's just a five minute bus ride from the Animal Kingdom.

Sorry, no lunch. If you're really only going to eat the chicken fingers, fries and mac & cheese, you may want to skip it anyway. (I can't believe I'm saying that, I love Boma!)

Enjoy!

You guys are very bad posters. You were supposed to say, "Yes!" ;)

I think we're going to go. We may end up filling up on chicken, but it'll be a good experience for us to TRY something else. I think.

You could pop into the Mara - the little food court/type place down near the arcade at AKL. You will find the regular food court staples, BUT you will also find chicken pepperpot soup (my personal new favorite) and zebra domes for dessert. At least you would get a taste of something different that Boma offers without springing for the whole buffet at dinner.

I highly recommend Boma (but keep in mind that many of their dishes are a bit on the spicey side.) They do have the standby kids fare (chicken fingers, mac & cheese, etc.) but there really is something for everyone. The food is fantastic there and well worth the try.

DW and DDs are the most dedicated meat and potatoes people you could meet. I'm talking "no sauce or gravy on the meat/ I'll have the mashed or baked potato with that please" kind of folks. I am something of an adventure eater, and we all LOVE Boma. The family will fill up on the carved roast beef(which does have something of a different spice to it) and the "potatoes with Afritude" which are roast potatoes with a bit of spice. Even though it isn't completely run-of-the-mill fare, it's isn't too outlandish as to scare them off(which would NOT be difficult). They like the beef and potatoes so much, I've even gotten them to sample some of the more exotic stuff...they didn't care for it, but at least they tried. The soups are delicious, and I think the desserts are pretty universally loved. It's a buffet, so there's no punishment for trying something and passing on it if you don't care for it. Please let us know your opinion if you decide to take a chance. :earsboy:
