Does being on the DP help or hurt when making ADR?

Or maybe it doesn't matter! I was just wondering why they ask if we are on the DP when making ADR. I might be over thinking, but if you are on the DP they already have your money and know that you will have to eat somewhere, but if you are paying for the meal, do they try harder to get you in where and when you want?

I don't believe it makes any difference, it's just so the CM can tell you how many TS credits your reservation will take.

I agree with the PP, don't know why this question freaks people so. The CM's do try to tell you if you are booking something not on DDP, if it is 2TS, or other things that might be helpful. It also notes it on your ADR so the server can give you your options.

Neither, they dont care how youre paying for your dining. They ask because they have to tell you how many credits each meal is and it helps the servers at the restaurant know who is on the DP or not. Also if youre not on DDP you have to prepay for CRT and dinner shows, if you are on DDP you can use a cc guarantee

It should have absolutely no effect on your odds of getting a reservation.

That's good to know. I never got the feeling that it mattered until today when I spoke with a not so friendly CM. The way she asked the question and then seemed to change her mood made me wonder!

I had the same impression when I did my ADRs last year, and wondered if there was a great conspiracy against the DDP. But, in conversation with an extremely CM when changing our reservations at POR, he told me the sole reason for asking is for your (the guests) benefit, to make sure you know how many credits you are going to be using.
