When making reservations - does a 7 month old baby count? She will not be eating any food, but a highchair would be much appreciated.
Not sure if I should count her when making reservation (we are a familiy of 4; 2 adults, one 4yr old and the baby)?

Most definitely yes! The baby even though not eating counts towards things like fire codes and maximum patrons allowed.

Agreed. ADRs are not for plates of food; they are for seats at a table. The highchair needs a place to go; it counts as a spot at a table.

See im just confused on this. When we went in Feb, we did add baby to our reservations. When we got to the restaurants, however, we were told we didnt need to do that. Im about to start making our Spt ADRs and hubby says dont add the baby since multiple restaurants told us we didnt need to that. I assumed we would have to because of fire code regulations.

yes you need to put the baby on the reservation. This is particularly important if you have 2 adults and the baby or 4 eating people and the baby. That bumps up the table size requirement.

Yes, add the baby. I had to "count" my 14 week old this past November, since he counted as a warm body according to fire codes.

That's incorrect information. You need to count the baby when you make ADRs.

I was told this from a Dining Reservation CM when I called about making ADR's for my family of 5 (the youngest is only 2 and sharing from my plate). She said it is necessary to count the little ones. The only thing you may want to question is if you are putting a credit card hold on a spot. In that case, I would count the baby, but then call into the Dining Reservation line and explain that one is a baby. Let them figure it out, but be sure you aren't charged on your card for the baby or for a spot you held but is not used for a paying customer. They are very helpful when you call in.
