Does anyone watch Food Network's "The Kitchen"?

I've watched this show since it began years ago. And with this year being what it is with the virus and all, the chefs have been doing the show virtually from each of their own homes.

I don't know if I just haven't been paying much attention, but I JUST realized while watching yesterday's episode that Sunny has ALWAYS been cooking outside, never in her house. Why do you think that is? ***and yes, I know it's not a big deal and yes, I know they can film wherever they feel comfortable and where they want----------I was just making an observation and I guess curiosity got the best of me LOL***

I'm pretty sure she lives in NY or NJ from comments she has said and believe me, it is COLD right now in those areas.

I watch it now and then, but you are right, I did notice she always seems to be cooking outside. Wonder if she's still continuing to do that in winter? I haven't seen any episodes where it looks like it's cold or has snow yet, lol!

Sunny Anderson is the reason I don’t watch “The Kitchen“. She just grates on my last nerve. I enjoy “Beat Bobby Flay”, except when she is a judge. She can be so over the top.

ETA: I should have said that Sunny Anderson is one of the reasons, I don’t watch. I am not a big fan of Katie Lee, either.

I think the show actually works better when they all cook from home. The studio where they used to produce the show always seemed contrived and the conversations awkward. Sunny may have a small kitchen that doesn't lend itself to being on camera. I think it is fine to use the patio or some outdoor area. I do find it funny when Jeff cooks outside and you can see his neighbor's trash cans in the background. Seems they would have chosen a better camera angle.

M. Symon also does some of his shows outside as well.

I've wondered the same, but chalked it to Sunny's kitchen being small or not camera ready.

I've enjoyed the Kitchen from home more, too.

And the Pioneer woman. I've liked her kids filming much more than the camera crew.

I hate when shows fabricate a reason to cook that day. Why can't it just be it's Tuesday and we are hungry?

I enjoy the show and agree that Sunny can be a bit too much- seems like she is always yelling and interrupting her co- hosts. Jeff can be that way,too- seems like they are competing for attention. Katie doesn’t bother me much- she is pretty benign.

I LOVE The Kitchen, and everyone on it. But you are right, never gave it much thought, but she is always outside. I would agree with a PP that her kitchen is probably to small to have on camera.

It is my favorite show on the network! Not as good as the Chew used to be, but close.

I honestly just thought she enjoyed filming outdoors, but the reasons stated seem reasonable.

I could do without Katie Lee, her voice ugh . She gives off the impression she’s had a few lol

I watch The Kitchen and I like everyone on it except for Geoffrey or GZ as he’s called some times. I think he comes across as being better then everyone else. I also like to watch Chopped, but turn it off when he’s on it.

Back to the OP’s observation, I never noticed it, but you’re right! I’m guessing, like others mentioned, that her kitchen is too small.

On a side note, Alex is on the show a lot more now than she has been in the past. Is she a regular?

My favorite show used to be The Chew. I wish that show would come back on.

Good point about Alex. She must be a regular she is on every week now. I love Alex so that’s a good thing.
