Does anyone watch Big Love on HBO? Question...

I love this show! Started a thread awhile back, but it died. :(

Anyway, Alby is so so weird. Nikki is gonna get caught soon! Margene is playing with fire! Love Barb and the affair.

Am I right in thinking that with Barb, Bill doesn't need his little blue pill?

I think you are right. Bill seemed to have some 'problems' with Nikki....

The whole deal is Bill is supposed to love each wife equally, but it's pretty obvious that the only one he really loves is Barb - in "every" way. ;)

The dirt is meant to represent the unconcious way Juniper Creek is recreated by the family. They try to seperate themselves from the compound - moving to a better neighborhood, putting in a pool (a suburbian *sign* of wealth)....but, no matter how much they try and dis-associate themselves from the past, the heritage remains.

The pool....that no one seems to use....guess that's supposed to represent some kind of center of life.....it's Bill's big blue pill as opposed to his little blue one. LOL.

Excellent observation!!! Could the pool, since it's rarely used (except in the 1st episode) offer the tranquility that is never w/in the house/marriage? It's the only calm in their otherwise turbulent world, know what I mean!?

That's a very good observation as well Daxx. I always just thought it was an unused pool. See how terribly un-deep I am? ;) :teeth:

Oooooh -- another thing w/the pool. In episode 1, Nicky's kids were playing in the pool at the very beginning of the show. At that point, we were lulled into thinking they had a peachy lifestyle ... then, the kids got out of the pool and it all went to heck from there. From there on in, after those kids got out of that pool did the story line take "full swing" ... Bill's continued problem thus needing his blue pill (sure it started the night before in Nicky's flashback, but it was fully realized later in the show when he was w/Margene), the problem w/his father, Roman Grant, etc.! Since the kids got out of the pool, thus signaling the beginning of trouble, the pool hasn't been in use. Mere coincidence!?

Oooh, we're getting real deep now (hey == pool, deep ... haha).

Holy Polygamist! This is WAY too deep for me right now - I gotta get to bed! :p

I was totally lost on the whole Alby thing. That came from left field!! I wondered too if Roman was setting him up for something bad, after he wouldn't give him one of the Hummers.

Love the observation about the dirt!! And here I thought it was just because the houses were new! :rotfl:

Great observation!!!! Growing up my mother would always yell to us: "There's a storm coming! OUT OF THE POOL!!!"

I'm still trying to figure out what all the blue references mean.....blue pill, blue pool, Blue Day at school, Windex (original formula is blue), the double lunar eclipse (which is a blue moon), Margene's blue car, blue-eyed boys....it seems that it usually involves the kids, or Margene (who at 21 is more of a kid in the family)....could it just mean that they're "blue" and suffering from lifestyle??? (Isolation, lieing, loneliness) ????
