I have become addicted to this show!! I love to see the people fighting with the ticket agents. Like driving past a car wreck, you can't help but be intrigued. However, I did have an issue with it last night. Southwest Airline made a passenger de-plane, because he was too drunk. The camera crew followed him through the airport, out to the parking lot, and watched him drive away. So he was too drunk to fly as a passenger, but was just fine to drive home??? Just befuddled me a bit!

We "luv" that show! It's the company my husband works for! Look out for him on the second season--they camera crews are working out of BWI (Baltimore-Washington International) as one of the airports!

I saw the same show awhile back and had the same reaction!

Supposedly SouthWest issued a statement, after getting complaints, explaining that the man actually sat in the airport for 6 hours before he got in his car and drove away but they edited the footage down for the show.

I have no idea why they couldn't bother to put up graphics that said 6 hours later.....when they showed it but I'm sure they won't make that mistake twice.

Keep in mind that Southwest doesn't have any say as to what or how things are edited!

Yes I know that I was referring to the *they* that produce the show.

I agree.
I love that show.
I have flown SW and they really are the "party people".
I was in Midway Airport a week ago and past SW and was looking to see if I recognized anyone but I didn't. And, yes, I thought the same thing last night.
Just like another time they had some girls who were to drunk to fly and they were going to a bachelorette party so they went to the RENTAL CAR AREA!!! Yeah, there's a good idea, let's rent a car and drive even if we're too drunk to fly.

Last night I watched the UK version for the first time. It was reassuring to see people are rude all over the world (not just the US). :teeth:

I enjoyed it but had difficulty understanding the dialogue. Anyone else have that problem?

I love this show! My father works for an airline, so I know how things go. I still can't believe some of these passengeres though.

I was thinking the same thing about the dude driving off in the car.

But, if as they say, it was six hours later, why wasn't he sober enough to fly?? Sounds like they did a little creative editing of their own with that statement.

After all, they showed the bachelorette party girls going to rent a car, didn't they?

After six hours, the plane he wanted to fly was already gone, and maybe there were no more flights to his destination that day.

As far as the bachlorette party, did the footage show them actually getting the keys to the car they wanted to rent, or just walking toward the rental car agency? I didn't see that episode!

I'm almost positive that there was 1 girl in the party that hadn't been drinking and she was the one that drove them. I remember her being upset with the others and that she could've flown but didn't because they wouldn't let the others fly that were drunk.

That does sound vagely familiar now that you mention it. Can you imagine how embarrassing it was for her?

Was this the one where they got into a fight? There have been so many of them were the people just loose it!

My favorite one was where the father forgot the tickets or lost them, but somehow it was Southwest's fault!

Yep, I remember the girls fighting. I can't believe that some of these people actually sign the releases to be on the show! I guess they really want to be on TV. lol

Isn't that the truth! I don't even like to be videotaped for family vacations, let alone a video for a national TV show!! I duck and run!! :duck: :duck: :duck: :duck:

I'm another Airline fan. I watch that and now I watch Airline UK. There is another show that's similar on the Discovery wings channel. It is older so it's probably where Airline came from.

LOVE THIS SHOW!

BUt now have BIble study on Monday nights so I have to catch it later in the week...

I thought the same exact thing ~ how dumb are these people. I just couldn't believe that they let him drive away knowing that he was too drunk to fly!
