Alot of you know for the last three days I have been troubled with disconnects not just from VMK but from the internet it got so bad that I was being disconnected every 30 seconds!

I was about ready to pack VMK in because I was sure it was VMK, they had just added that Low Bandwidth warning the same day

Well today after checking everything I could think of and trying something Mousse had suggested...I thought I would borrow some memory from DS computer and add it to mine...well it would not lock in...but while I had my computer open I vacuum all the dust out of mine and also took my memory out and reinserted it.

Well ever since I did this NO DISCONNECTS!!!!

Who Knew something so simple as alittle dust could cause so much trouble!

Mal. you reminded me a story. One of the early computer pioneers was Admiral Grace Hopper USN. I believe she was the inventer of COBAL language. Anyway they were working on a big computer which took up a whole room and where having difficulties getting it to run. After checking all the wiring they found a moth had caused a short cicuit to occur. They removed the dead insect and the computer was running again. But from then on, whenever a program did not work, it had to be "de-bugged"!

Funny you mention that ears. That was John Carpenter's (the first guy to win a million on who wants to be a millionaire) 500 grand question (next to last).

And yes, that was indeed the origin of the term cumputer "bug", and it actually was a bug. How funny is that.

Although mal went and edited her first post so it's hard to get the full effect now lol.

Anyway, bascially mal was saying how she thought she had rare pumpkins because the "d" on hers were backwards.
