Does anyone use the grocery game list to save money on groceries?

Can anyone suggest any more coupon clipping services? I have 2 saved in my favorites that were mentioned on this thread, but I'd be interested in getting some more.

I had placed an order with one of them and emailed them addressing a concern and got a rather (in my opinion) snotty email back from them. I'd like to not use them again......Unfortunately, they have really good coupons........

Thanks for any info!

I'm off to purchase 10 packages of Perdue Short Cuts for $.15 each thanks to a $2 coupon!!! Yippee!!

I've used thecouponclippers.com (pretty sure that's the website, I'll check & edit if I have it wrong). Haven't had any problems w/ them. I've also had good luck getting coupons from ebay.

Good deal on the Short Cuts! A couple of weeks ago, I got some for .99c w/ those $2 coupons-- I thought I did pretty good til I just read this post. LOL!

I was thinking we shoudl start a different thread just for coupon clipping websites. I wanted to look at some of them today but it was too much work to find them in this big thread. What do you guys think?

Which site had the good coupons? Was it "searchable"? I went to a few of them and it was kind of a pain to find what I wanted.

thecouponclippers.com is a good one (that is the correct web address, I checked).

It's easy to search and navigate.

The Grocery Game has a Field Guide that you can buy for about $10 that basically tells you how to do what she does. She offers it to people who don't have a store listed in their area. I wish I could buy it to use at other stores in my area that aren't on the list. You can also check their message boards. You can get ideas (though not list specifics) on their boards which you don't have to be a member to join.

...and the "hidden" sale (non-advertised) of B1G1 Godiva Chocolate Ice cream :faint: made the trip worth it. I may even go back for more. Love the stuff, but at $3.59 per--yowsers! Also--(TMI alert for men!!!)--have been having horrible PMS in recent months where I must consume an awful lot of chocolate in a short amount of time--OR ELSE--hell hath no fury from me! So I stocked up. I must say I am looking forward to healing PMS with this stuff!!!!

Anywho. Went on my non-grocery day--and splurged....didn't worry about coupons. Just hit them for their B1G1 stuff. Made a mistake on the 3-day sale and mentioned shrimp for dinner to the girls. OOPS--that sale doesn't start until tomorrow  . We still got half a pound and saved 50 cents. They love shrimp and I'm a softy!

Also--did discover that the 10 for $10 sales--are $1 sales and you can purchase in any quantity. Was able to put back 5 items when I discovered their purchase wasn't necessary.

All told an excellent shopping day! My Juice needs are now taken care of for months, now!

I got Apple Juice, Gatorade, Dorito's, Godiva (YUM!), Klondike Bars (for hubby snack cravings), and Mott's Apple Juice.

The best find was Tyson lunchmeat that expires on the 15th that Albertson's proactively marked down to 99 cents. I couldn't pass it up and will need to figure out something to do with it. So lunchmeat in addition to juice--I'm good for a bit. They were marked with a special sticker--so the parenthesis value below reflect their pre-markdown cost that I believe was $2.19, but don't remember.

Albertson's (shopping the ad, no grocery game assistance, no coupons)
Paid: $47.90
Retail: $84.95 (~$87.90)
Savings $37.05 (44%) [~$39.35 (45%)]

Now I might be actually spending a lot less if I didn't stockpile so much--but come on...B1G1 Godiva Ice cream :worship: :cloud9: !!!!! :earboy2:

How did you know about it?

Sounds like you did pretty good!

How can I find a store near me that doubles or triples coupons. Does anyone take all the fliers to walmart and get them matched or just me. They have not had the Quaker Fruit and Oatmeal Bites, the last three times i've went, I might have to get them somewhere else.

I didn't----it was a FIND.....bawahahahahahahaha!!!!

I was looking for the edy's to check their ingredients--they were in the ad for B1G1 as were the klondike's---and I passed the Godiva and did a double take--- :earseek: --my eyes did not deceive me--a B1G1 on my precious Godiva....I was even unsure at the register and watched the screen like a hawk. Yes--they were mine--for a 50% reduction   .

Godiva wasn't on the list--but it made itself quite darn cozy in my cart.

So if you want to invite your friend Godiva home---it might be well worth a visit to an Albertson's near you ;).

LOL! That was a fantastic find! :) :) :) My favorite deal this week at HT is the Lugies italian ice cups. They are usually 2.99 and sometimes go BOGO. I would get 50/1 coupons to make them .50 each but now with HT's new policy the best price is usally 1.00 each for 6 cups. Well, they are on sale 5/5 and there were coupons out a couple weeks ago for 50/2 so they are .50 each once again!!! The kids got hooked on these when they were so cheap. Now it is just a matter of how much room I can make in my freezer. :) Tyson nuggets are on sale this week too so I need to stock up. I was down to my last 10 boxes.

You just need to find them. You could call the stores to ask their coupon policies so that you are prepared for any limits when you go. I don't price match at WM because ours is so bad. They give you enough grief about coupons to begin with. With two kids I simply cannot pay attention to each item that they ring up. I also don't have to worry about long lines at our grocery store like I would at WM.

I freeze lunchmeat and take it out a few days before I need it. If you have ham slices, spread each slice with cream cheese that you doctored with green onions, chopped black olives, cayenne pepper or use any herb/spice you want that fits your taste. Then roll up and slice into bite size rings held with a toothpick if necessary. Low carb but fantastic - large iceburg lettuce leaf, put a slice or two of provolone cheese then a slice or two of your lunchmeat, sliced tomatoes (roma tom. are perfect size) and drizzle ranch dressing then roll up like a wrap. If you want to use mayo, then spread mayo on the cheese first. I've added a strip of bacon....YUMMY! I roll up lunchmeat then slice into thing strips and top salads with...kinda like a chef salad

Is that a one time fee, do you know? Are just the tips themselves, without the lists, worth $10? Thank you so much. With the kids going back to school soon I will have more time to shop around and coupon search. These tips are great!

I haven't posted on this thread before, but have been reading it daily. Its gotten to be my favorite thread on the boards. I've been saving coupons for 3 weeks now. I was waiting to get a stockpile before I signed up for my $1 trial. In the meantime though, I've been really paying attention to whats on sale etc. I told my dh that whatever I save using coupons and rebates is going into my Disney jar. I can see that its going to build up pretty fast.

I took advantage of the rebates at Walgreens last week and got a whole bag of goodies that I'll get for free once my rebate check comes.

I was hoping to purchase some coupons for certain things and am trying to decide the best place to do this at. I was looking at thecouponclippers.com and was wondering if anyone has ever ordered from them. It says they accept paypal which is a big plus for me.

One more question, I haven't seen anyone say that they shop at HEB which would be the store I would sign up for. Our HEB is a pantry store though, so I was wondering if it would be the same as a full size HEB.

Thanks for all the great info on this thread. Keep it coming!

This made me smile. Only someone who stockpiles would even think about getting more when they still have 10 boxes left. LOL :teeth:

I shop at HEB Pantry and it's ok. I haven't needed to use the Mgn Coupons to much. Most of my savings comes from thier own instore coupons. The most I have saved is 30.00 with instore coupons with a few mgn coupons. I do go to wal mart first with my list. sometimes wal mart beats HEB's sell prices.

What is a good price for Tyson nuggets? A box (not family pack) is on sale at WD this week and I have a 0.55/1 coupon making them $2.45. Is that good or just okay? Should I save my coupons for a better offer? I'm sure the GG will tell me I just don't want to wait until Sunday. :teeth:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Well, the last time I bought them was when they were paying me to take them out the door thanks to the now closed valupage.com. :) I got 140 boxes over the course of 2 weeks. DS will usually go thru 2 boxes a week, unless he is taking a break from them. The best way to store them is to take them out of the box...be sure to take off the project A+ panel to turn into your school for 24c...and put 10 bags of nuggets in a grocery bag and tie it off.

Someone else asked about a good price for tyson nuggets. Ours are normally 3.00 a box now. (They were 2.59 a box when I stocked up last year at the BOGO sale.) They are BOGO this week so 3.00/2 - 55/1x2 - 1.90/2 boxes. This is high to me based on the past but seems like the best deal that I will be able to get. If I get a nice cashier I can use 2 of the 55/1s & get them for .80/2 boxes.

If you can't double coupons then I would wait to get them when they are on sale BOGO if you can.
