Does anyone use ME for transfers to DVC resorts

We have reservations at BLT in 3 studios for one night before our Dec cruise--flying into MCO from NC. Usually for longer stays at WDW we drive. We are a party of 7 and will have multiple large bags as well as our carry-ons and a stroller for DGD. Plan to attend MVMCP the night we are at BLT.

I love the idea of using ME to get from MCO to BLT and let Disney handle the large luggage from the airport to our resort, but am a little concerned about not collecting the luggage myself since we will only be at BLT one night.

Has anyone had experience with ME handling their luggage?

Would you trust the luggage to arrive on schedule? I hate to think about leaving for the port the following day and still be waiting for our bags. We have private transfers booked from BLT to the port--not DCL transfers.

Oh yeah, we have used ME 8 or 9 times in the last 3 yrs. 3 of those were to DVC resorts (only 3 because we are new owners) worked perfect every time. Our luggage has arrived within 2 hrs every time, this I know because I wait to get room organized before I head out to parks.

We've had luggage delayed, but not overnight. Just a few more hours. We always make sure we have a daybag with us with swimsuits and maybe a change of clothes (we often wear pants on the plane cause its cold).

Have used ME for DVC transfers (we first started at AKV). We got the luggage within 2 hours of arriving at the resort (it was brought to our room and placed in there when we were wandering around AKV)

Love ME. Never any problems, would never travel from the airport any other way (we do not rent a car, our personal preference) Have always gone straight to the parks if our room wasn't ready and the luggage is already in the room when we get back once notified our room is available.

I used ME for the first time earlier this month. I stayed at OKW. It was six hours from landing (noon) to receiving my luggage. If you are an evening arrivial, and are leaving for the cruise the following morning, I think I'd tote my own luggage just to be safe.

We have used ME since it's inception, but we always haul our own luggage. It can be a bit of a hike from Terminal A but I've always preferred not to rely upon the luggage coming on a separate bus.

I had a friend come in at 7PM and she did get her luggage that night, but we called a few times. I agree that if you are arriving into MCO in the evening, I would probably get my luggage myself.

How about a 1 way car rental? We've done it when we had a large group.

We do a car rental from MCO so we can pick up groceries on the way. We also had issues the one time we used ME from MCO where we didn't get our bags until later in the evening, after a 1PM arrival. That was not fun.

So now we rent a car, usually do something outside of WDW on the 2nd day (did Legoland this year) and return the car at the Car Care Service Center and get a ride to whatever park we are going to that day. Works out great since we invariably forget something and only realize it the next day, requiring a quick trip to Target or Publix.

We always take ME back to MCO.

One thing to remember is the ME does not have Check-In capabilities for ALL airlines. So if yours is not on the list, you will have to take care of your bags on the return.

But ME has always been great. However, as with any advise when you check in any bag, you always want to pack in your carry-on, a change of clothes and anything that you can not lose and will need in the next 24 hours; items like: medication, park tickets, camera, etc. There is always a chance the airline will lose or send your luggage some where else or ME may be delayed a couple hours.
