I was on another board and saw a few people talking about using this adhesive tape gun. The most popular model seems to be the 714 which uses a 1/4" width tape.
The gun is kind of big - can hold tape cartridges that are 36 (and 60) yards in length. The gun itself is rather costly - retails around $50 - I found a site where I can get it for $40 with shipping though. And the tape refills (must be sure to get the right formula - #908 is acid free) are less than $3 for a 36 YARD roll.
Apparently this is most often used by framers for securing mats and photos but is starting to become popular with scrappers.
Has anyone here used it and would you recommend it. I'm about ready to order it as I've gone through 3 adhesive cartridges already this weekend! It wouldn't take long to make-up the cost of the initial expense of the gun but I'm worried that I'd hate it, lol.
