Ever since getting into sci fi a decade ago I thought it would be cool if there was a space adventure board game where players got to control a spaceship crew and go on adventures on different planets as part of a engaging story with decisions that affect the outcome of the story but have it be much more accessible than D&D so casual board game players can enjoy it too so it can be a great way to introduce more people to Mass Effect or the space opera genre.
And it looks like we are finally getting stuff like that.

And there are more games like that in other genres.
Have board games become too big or complicated?
Or have they become better?
