the name of the 3-D movie at Journey into Imagination before Captain E-O? I believe it was the original one there. I think a lion roared at you but can't remember much else. My sister and i were dying trying to remember it and cant.

It was called Magic Journeys.

Magic Journeys was also shown in Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom. That was probably after Captain EO took over in Epcot. I always thought it was a nice break from all the commotion.

Magic Journeys was always one of my "must" things to see at WDW.
Which is probably why they took it away.
Too bad they could not continue to find some spot for it--

Magic Journeys was never shown in Tomorrowland. After it played at Epcot, in the Magic Eye Theater from 1982 to 1986, it moved to the Fantasyland Theatre in the Magic Kingdom, which was the former home of the Mickey Mouse Revue. After Magic Journeys left Fantasyland in 1993, the theater was used for Legend of the Lion King. This show closed in 2002 to make way for Mickey's PhilharMagic.

As LindaD indicated, Magic Journeys never played in Tomorrowland. What you are thinking of was "American Journeys" which was the last circlevision movie before the conversion to Timekeeper.

For those interested, the history of the Circlevision theater is as follows:

America the Beautiful (1971-1974)
Magic Carpet 'Round the World (1974-1975)
America the Beautiful version 2 (1975-1979)
Magic Carpet 'Round the World (1979 -1984)
American Journeys (1984-1994)
Timekeeper (1994-Present)

Thanks, gcurling. I remember them both and probably just got them confused. They were both good and I miss them. I guess they were too "lame" for the thrill seekers of today.
