When did WDW ad early morning hours for resort guests? My last trip was in 2001 and I can't remember if they had EMH way back then!

Well, there have been a couple of iterations of it over the years. Off the top of my head, there was Morning Magic, Early Morning Magic, Extra Magic Hours... Some paid, some not.

EMM started in 2016 - that was the paid version with breakfast.
EMH started Jan 2nd, 2005 as part of the "Magic Your Way" program.

They had E-Ticket nights in the early 2000's I think as well - but that was nighttime access.
DLC had Magic Mornings - a slightly different version.

There was another promo in the 90's I believe, but I couldn't tell you much about that one as I did not visit regularly enough.

Thank you! I didn't think there was EMH back in 2001 because all I remembered doing was rope drop. I did a lot of visits in the '90s and '80s but don't remember being able to get into the parks before rope drop as a resort guest (other than maybe being able to eat at the Crystal Palace).

I could be totally wrong about this but I think there was an early entry program In the mid 90s. My husband did the first 3 marathons, ‘94-‘96, which were the last times he consistently visited with us. (daughters and I are bigger fans.) I’m pretty sure we got into at least Magic Kingdom early.

I remember, sometimes in the 90s, paying 10 per person to stay at the MK until midnight, or 3 extra hours, I can't remember which.

You're not wrong. They suspended them after 9/11 due to low attendance. We were there in December 2001and I recall being disappointed because we really liked doing the parks during cooler hours when the chances of sunburn were reduced.

Those were the E-ride nights, only certain attractions open. We did that once.

In the mid 90s they had “Surprise Mornings” - can’t remember whether MK only or DHS & Epcot too (AK was under construction).
