Are they still in business?

Yep, they sure are! They have AMAZING honey roasted pecans. YUM! There is one not too far from me. Want me to pick up up anything and send it to you?

I remember that place! We used to always stop there when we would go camping at Natural Chimney's every summer.

We used to go there all the time when we drove down to Florida when I was a kid. I miss that place! :)

There are a few of them around, but they're old and ramshackle and not really the same as they used to be. :(

Thanks for the offer Chell! I don't really need anything, I was just wondering if they were still in existence!

The Stuckey's about a half hour from me closed several years ago. I thought maybe they all did!

I can remember stopping there when I was a child and if we filled up our gas tank, they gave us one of their pecan rolls or something similar. I remember my Grandmother keeping it to herself, she wouldn't open it until she got home!

There is still one just east of Pensacola on I10...it's either the second or third exit past the I10 bridge over Pensaocla Bay (the bridge hurricane Ivan wiped out) heading east.

Oh, man!! I REMEMBER buying pecan divinity from Stuckey's!!

I thought they had aqua colored roofs, though.

Yes! There's one on the way to Williamsburg. Exit 227 off of I-64.

I had a boss once that loved their pecan divinity, so whenever I went to the outlet mall, I'd stop by Stuckeys on the way home to get some for him.

ETA - Oh, maybe the one that's 1/2 an hour away from you is that one. It's been a few years since I stopped by. Bummer

There's one here in central PA off Rt. 78.

Yep, they shut down the Stuckey's at the Lightfoot/Toano exit. Bummer. :(

mmmmm...pecan log rolls!

Must get one next time I see a Stuckey's. I grew up in FL with them all over, but believe it or not, there is an abandoned one right near us on the interstate in rural central Nebraska!

I grew up thinking they were a 'southern thing'.
