Does anyone remember Planter's Cheez Ballz?

I remember having them when I was in middle school/high school (about 15 years ago). They were like the puffy, crunchy cheese puffs but they were round and came in a canister. I have never found any cheese puffs I like as well...did they go away, or do they just not have them around here?

They still make them...or at least they did as of June. I bought them to take on vacation. The canister is ideal for traveling. I think I bought them at WalMart.

I usually go out of my way to avoid WalMart, but the groceries and Target don't have them around here. I'm headed to WalMart at lunch! Thanks everyone!

Anyone remember Dandee Corn Twisters?? They were the absolute best!!

they still make cheeze balls, and Dandee still makes the corn twists too. I can still find them everyday at the grocery store.

Oh yes, I remember those quite well. You see it all goes back to the Great Cheeseball INcident of 1985.

My Brother (who was 2 at the time) spilled a WHOLE container of them all over the dining room floor while no one was looking. So, the only thing he could do to clean them up was to try and EAT them all instead of throwing them out. It was so FUNNY. He's now 21.

:rotfl: You see, I now have this mental picture of a 2 YO scooting around the dining room floor on all 4s, sucking up the cheez balls like some sort of mini human vacuum cleaner. :rotfl:

I loved these things.

OMG, you were there, weren't you??? ;)

I remember having them as my after school snack. I do see them around in the stores at times also, but I don't buy them anymore.

Love them but I have noticed they have gotten harder to find. I try not to buy junk food but every so often I break down - Cheez Balls or funyuns are my favorite! Oh and Andy Capps Cheddar Fries - which are kind of hard to find sometimes too.

I have a Planter's Cheez Ball story. :)

About 15 years ago, my husband and his nephew (who is actually my husbands age) had partaken in a few brewskies. Our 2 year old daughters had been eating on the Cheez Balls earlier in the day and left the container on the coffee table. My husband and nephew started eating what was left. After about 5 minutes or so, my husband said, "Do these taste stale?" My nephew agreed but they kept eating them anyway.

They didn't think it was too funny when I told them that the girls had sucked the cheez off of them and put them back in the container.

:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

That is too funny! Sounds like something my niece would have done...

I noticed that the Target brand cheese puffs taste like Planters rather than Cheetos. These are the puff type, not the cheese twists.

Cheez Balls are one of my Disney vacation staples. LOVE them! :teeth: We always take them for the long car trips and for the hotel room when we want a snack after the parks.

Um thanks to this thread I will be going to the grocery. Whoever started this thread has to run an extra mile for me tomorrow!
