Just reading the "sharing park passes" thread (now closed) and it reminded me of once having photos taken & imprinted on park hopper passes purchased at the gate. I'm thinking my 12/94 visit.

Does anyone else remember this? Just curious...

Denise < --- or could merely be a victim of CRS ;)

I remember photos on APs, but not PHs.

I remember! They were terrible photos--very small, grainy, and just kind of brown and white, right?

I remember that too. We had FL Resident Seasonal passes in 1991 and had our pics on them. I probably still have mine somewhere.

YUP!

Thanks! (I'm NOT going insane!).

I'm thinking it musta been a short-lived experiment in the whole "non-transferrable" ticket issue, since I was doing WDW every year around then and hadn't experienced it before or after.

(I do recall being mildly annoyed at the extra time involved in having the photo/tickets issued).

Denise < --- not a total stickler on "sharing tickets" debate as WDW is STILL ahead the year I lost 2 5-day passes on my first day and had to buy replacements ;)

(Note to others: make copies of both sides of tickets if purchasing beforehand at Disney Stores, AAA, etc. They can replace them with proper documentation).

oh Denise... that's awful that you lost them and had to buy replacements. :(

I guess I should count myself VERY lucky that they replaced the one I had lost in the FP machine (but it wasn't there so someone behind me must have gotten it) even though I didn't have copies (front or back) of the ticket! It was also a 5-day pass- but I'd bought it online at disneyworld.com and they had it in the computer so they just printed me up a new one. *phew* I'm so glad! I would have been so bummed to have to buy a new one. :(

Nope. But I remember tickets, and the books and you only got so many "good" tickets per book.

we remember the FL AP passes and wer annoyed at how long we had to wait for our "new" photo pass so we could go in our first day. All in all they worked ok. Too expensive I would guess.

Yea I remember these, really bad photos and a long line to stand in to get them. I think our pics were worn off at the end of 4 days.

I also remember the unflattering pics on the Hopper passes i had...worse then a driver's lic....

I remember. It was 1994 we were staying at Dixie landing and after buying our tickets at the guest relations counter AT THE RESORT (which is no longer there) you went over and they took your picture. It was a computer generated picture that was printed on your ticket. I also remember the terrible picture on my first AP in 1995. It took 3 times for them to get it right. It was similar to a passport picture. They took it, glued it to the pass, then sealed the pass in the plastic sheets. I still have that first one....it was so cheesey the way they did it back then. Boy, they've come a long way.

We had some park hoppers that had our pictures on them. They were worse than drivers license pictures too. ;) LOL Zurg, didnt read yours before I posted mine.
