Hi DISers! I haven't been here in about half a year (!), but used to be here all the time - thought I'd pop in and see how everyone is doing and wish you all a Happy 2003!
Now don't make me feel like a kid in a new 7th grade class - I hope some of you remember me!!

SplshMtn: Hi! Well, no, it's been a rough year. My mom died in April, I had a miscarriage in November, and found out that I might not be able to have any children (although they are still doing tests to find out for sure) - anyway, with all of that going on, I basically fell apart - (that's why I haven't been on the DIS) and honestly didn't try as hard as I could have to find a new job. I didn't want to take a new job when I was not at my best, if that makes sense. I wouldn't have been able to put my "all" into it, and it wouldn't have been fair to an employer. So I still don't have one, now it's been over a year. I did have a few scattered interviews here and there, but nothing worked out.
Now I am doing better and I'm very excited for the start of 2003 - I feel like it's going to be a fresh start for me. Of course I still miss my mother and I'm sad about losing the baby, but I'm relieved to have gotten past the holidays and can't wait for January 1st so I can make a new start. Then I'll be ready to tackle a new job -- just hope I can find one though, this past week's ads were only 4 pages instead of the usual 8-12 pages!! It looks like the job market is pretty sad right now!
Anyway thanks for asking and it's nice to see these familiar names again! I had only been in touch with the wonderful Dan Murphy (!) and my sweet friend Linda/MA - it's nice to pop in here again and see everyone else!
