We might be purchasing a 2002 Toyota Camry SE (V6).
I am just wondering if anyone here owns one and if you have been happy with it.
Thanks. :)

We own a Camry and love it. We have had ours for 3 years and have never had a problem with it. In fact, it is going to go to college with my oldest son next year just so that we do not have to worry about his safety.

We have a 94 Camry and we love it!!!! We bought it new in 94 and its going strong (knock on wood)
I would buy a new one in a heartbeat!!!

Check out the consumer reports magazine - the Toyota Camry seems to always be the #1 midsize car!

I do not own a Camry but I work for AAA road service and I have not had many calls for them......they seem to keep on running. :)

We get the most calls for Ford Escorts and Honda Civics. For the most part I feel that Toyota's are good cars!!

I've had my Camry since last spring. We love it! So far we have not had any problems with it.

We have a '94 Camary and love it. We bought it from my SIL who bought it new. There's never been a problem with it and it runs great.

My sister has 1988 Toyota Camry. She bought it brand new back in 1988. 14 years and 120,000 miles later it is still running perfectly. She never brought it back to the dealership for any problem at all. I've gone thru one American car and on my second while her Toyota keeps running. A Toyota mechanic told her Toyotas aren't broken in until over 100,000 miles.

I've got an 88 Toyota Camry (which supposedly has the body of a Cressida). It has been very reliable and I would buy another one without hesitation.

Thank you all for your responses. I appreciate it. I am glad to hear so many good reports on this car. Consumer Reports reccomends it, which really means alot. Thanks. :)

I have a 94' Camry and I love it....they just keep get going and going. Never had anything wrong with it. I get all the scheduled check-ups and change the oil every 3000-5000 miles. It runs like a top! I would never hesitate to buy a toyota, they make awesome cars :)

I think the Camry is one of the best cars there is!

We have a 1998 LE that we bought new. It hasn't given us one ounce of trouble. All we've done to it so far is oil changes. Not a single repair has been needed.

I have a 2002 Camry and I love it. I had wanted the V6 but upon research I realized there is not a big difference between the 4 cylinder (which is the biggest in its class) and the V6 (which is the smallest in its class) so the money I saved on not getting the V6 I was able to use on other options. The moonroof is the best!!!

I did have to get my brakes adjusted, but that is the only problem I had and all seems to be fine now.

Hi! we have a 2000 Camry we purchased new! We love it ... we have had a problem lately ... BUT, it is only because when we had the 30,000 mile check up/tune up thingy, some tube or piece or part was accidently sliced with a REALLY small cut. I will it took about 5 tries to get it fixed. Our problem was in the fuel line ... it caused the CHECK ENGINE light to come on after leaving the dealership. Finally, I contacted the national toyota place and the very next time it was fixed. Apparently, the local dealership had never consulted the national toyota place hotline for repairs. As soon as they did that, the national hotline knew what happened and sure enough, problem was solved! I will also say it has improved our service for sure. Now, when we pull up for routine stuff (oil changes, etc) I get red carpet service! One guy is totally afraid of me!!!!! I guess it really reflects bad when you have to contact the national toyota place! That is our only complaint with our Camry. We had a corolla before this and really want to stay with the toyotas!!! I love the new body style the 2002 has! godo Luck with whatever you decide! :) :)
