Does anyone own a saturn outlook?

Hi I am looking at getting rid of my 8 cyclinder gas guzzling jeep for a 6 cyclinder saturn outlook. If you have one do you like it or not? What do you like or not like about it. I am looking at an awd one or xe. Thanks

I have had a saturn (not an outlook) for 6ish years. I have never had good customer service, and I have spent a ton of money replacing things on the car that went bad long before they should have... and I take really good care of the car. I definitely don't feel like my saturn was worth the cost, and I don't plan to ever own another one. I'll get rid of this one as soon as I can afford a new car ... I'm in graduate school, though, so it will probably be a while!

My cousin really likes her Saturn, however she is planning to get rid of it as soon as she can afford to. Since Saturn is no longer being made, the parts are extremely difficult to get and are quite expensive. It will only become more difficult to service these.

I wanted on when it was time to get another one but like the PP, since they are no longer being made I won't be getting one. The parts would be too hard or expensive to find.

we have the saturn outlook XE and I love it. You have to remember they are GM cars so its exactly like a GM Acadia.. Mine even says made by GM on the door panal ours is a 2009 and have not a problem at all. I can take it the GM dealer for repair if I wanted to. I had to take it in for the recall on the for the heater windshield wipers just like the GM Acadia and that is it.. great gas mileage and alot of room for us. It fits 8 unlike my town and country minivan.. that thing was a lemon for sure. I cant think of a negative thing about it to tell you the truth.

I haven't had the Outlook, but I am on my second Vue (4th overall Saturn) and love it. We have had outstanding service on all of our Saturns (and continue to have, even though Saturn is no longer around). As someone else mentioned, parts shouldn't be a problem (it's still a GM).

(We had looked at the Outlook and loved it, but got the Vue because it is smaller and we have a parking space that works better with a smaller vehicle.)

I purchased an Outlook back February 2007. I traded it in in March 2010 for a 2010 Dodge Advenger. I miss the room we had but mine guzzelled gas. The warranty had been off for some time as I had over 50,000 miles on it. It also had a major oil leak shortly after purchase and they had a hard time getting the parts. I was without the truck for several weeks but Saturn did give me a rental for a few days then gave me a loaner vehicle - brand new Vue that had no miles on it at that time. We mainly got rid of it to lower our gas bill and car payment. My DH had a 2007 Saturn ION that he totalled in January 2010. Wouldn't have known it by the damage but when inspected by the insurance company, the frame was cracked all the way around the vehicle. We did also get rid of it as Saturn is no more and the GM dealers around here are not very good. I would not purchase one - buy the Acadia if you want the vehicle.

We've got an 2008 Outlook and have been pleased with it. This summer the water pump went out on it on an out of town trip. We dropped it off at 8:00am on a Sat and picked it up by 11:00. This was covered under the power train warranty (our regular warranty was out) We were very pleased with the customer service. Not all all worried about parts- it is the same car as the GMC Acadia. We have had no other problems.

This. I have a 2003 Ion that's been good to me lately, but it had an ignition issue several years ago that I had to fight to get replaced. It was an intermittent problem and they basically said because it couldn't be duplicated they wouldn't replace it... even though it's a well known problem and you can find several hundred references to it on-line. Oddly, 2 days after filing a complaint with the NHTSA and BBB, they called me to say there was a miraculous way they had to find out the problem by testing the computer system.

Needless to say, I will never own another Saturn... by my own choice and theirs...

We are on our second Outlook XE and have had no trouble at all over the last 3-1/2 years. Parts and service will be no problem since it's the same vehicle as the Enclave and the Acadia.

Great alternative to a mini van or a larger gas hog SUV

I love, love, love my 2008 Saturn Outlook!!!!

I've owned mostly Saturns since 1995 including a used SL2, a new SL2, a 2004 VUE and the 2008 Outlook. Never had any major problems with any of them (Knocking on wood now!!!)

Last month my dad drove my car one day and noted that I needed a new wheel bearing from the sound it was making. I brought it into the dealership that is still a GM and servicing Saturns and it was still fully covered under warranty

I have no plans to get rid of mine anytime soon.... but when the time comes, I have nooo idea what I'll end up with because I've absolutely loved the Saturn brand!

I have a 2007 Outlook XR and are getting rid of it on Monday. It was a good vehicle until the transmission had to be replaced at around 60,000 miles. It took over 3 weeks to get it back (only 1 dealer in a 30 mile radius that was authorized to work on Saturns) and since then it has never been the same vehicle. It seems that 2007 versions were guinea pigs and they had a lot of trouble with the trans and some other issues. Right now I would say anyone who wants a Saturn should probably pass because the company is no longer in business and any warranty work that needs to be done could take a long time, like mine did, if you do not have a GM dealer that is authorized to work on Saturns. If you like the Outlooks, try the GMC Acadia or Chevy Traverse.
