Does anyone own a HP All-In-One printer (I am trying to fax--need help)

I am trying to fax via Windows. Is this possible? I know I can fax via the printer (putting a peice of paper on, it sucks it through then then faxes it). I am trying to use Word instead of actually printing. Is it possible? The help is NO help at all

I have the HP 6110xi.

When you select 'Print' in Word, you should get a dropdown of available printers. Click and select the HP fax.

Thanks, it isn't an option and looking at the HP site for a while it looks as if you have to print out and fax via the printer (not the computer) dog gone it. Seems like a waste of paper and ink to me.

We have the hp psc 2410 and we cannot send by any word processing program. We have to put the paper onto the glass in order to send. You can email the word processing document. Is that an option for you?

Thanks it was resumes/cover letters and they had to be faxed. I appreciate your help tho.

Sorry that was not an option, Rachel. I have a Brother 8840D, does PC faxing. I guess not all MFC do.

It's not possible through the HP. If your computer came with a fax modem you can probably fax through that. You just need to make sure that you plug the telephone cord into your computer.
