Does anyone out there want to be my Dis Friend? 3 PTRs and 1 1/2 TRs in Progress!

Having four August/September trips, we've usually used our snack credits for ice cream or Coke/Diet Cokes to beat the heat. From your list, I've only had the cinnamon roll. :rotfl:

So lets get creative. Top three my family likes, and top three I want to try:

3. Itzakadoozie - Demetri LOVES these / Ice Cream Mickey Heads - Alex's favorite
2. Disney Popcorn - Ariana could eat it all day!
1. Main Street Bakery cinnamon roll - George can almost eat two at a time

3. Norway's school bread - sounds sooo yummy
2. Cream cheese stuffed pretzel - mmmmmmm
1. Dole Whip!

Oh yes and of course I do still want to try the Grey Goose and Grand Marnier slushies too... ::yes::

The ski resort looks absolutely beautiful and what a great way for you two to celebrate your anniversary! Short but sweet!

I just read all 13 pages. Great PTR! It is wonderful that you get to go to WDW so much. We have been 3 times in one year before and just loved it. We had to go, we had AP's and wanted to get all the value we could out of it :lmao:.

You are so blessed to be able to share Disney with your Mom, that is a wonderful thing.

Your December plans look great. We will be doing the 6:30 Fantasmic on the 2nd and will be in Epcot on the 3rd meeting up with Mickey_Mom for drinks in France, I have to get a Grey Goose Slushie, and a lot of DISers will be in MK on the 6th.

I think it is great you are doing 2 MVMCP's. We are too. This will be our 4th year in a row doing the party, we just love it.

Cute shirts for MVMCP, AK, and the Let is Snow one is adorable!

I love the waffle maker, now I want one.

The plans for Epcot are wonderful. We are checking out the "santas" too. I have the pearl cage you got on Ebay and just love it, my pearl was a 7mm and fits just fine. I was right there with you calling the first day for the Candlelight Processional package.

Ok, I thought is was really cool that your brother works on Cougar Town, we LOVE that show, but OMG your brothers friend is an IMAGINEER!!! That is amazing. The goodie box had fantastic stuff.

You are really creative, the Mickey head flags are great!

The Ski resort is gorgeous.

I enjoyed all your countdowns. As for the snacks, we love the Dole Whips (tried one for the first time last year and my DBF talks about them weekly), the Cream cheese pretzel is amazing, and oddly enough I love WDW's fruit cups. The fruit is always so fresh and flavorful.

I can't wait to see what other countdowns you come up with.

Five Week Countdown!

This week we will be counting down Favorite Snacks!

I had trouble narrowing it down to 5 so I split it into food and drink:

Food Snacks:
5. Giant Dill Pickle / Pineapple Spear
4. Caramel Apple
3. Cream Cheese Stuffed Pretzel
2. Cotton Candy
1. Cinnamon Roll from the Main Street Bakery

Drink Snacks:
5. Smart Watermelon China flavor or Coca Cola found in Club Cool
4. Blue Slushie from Club Cool in an AWESOME Disney Character Cup
3. Dole Whip - NOT the float version - it's probably more of a snack but you get the point
2. Sweet Tea Ka from the Polynesian
1. Citron Slushie from the kiosk in France

Ok, so what are yours? Can't wait to hear your favorites so I can pick out some new things to try on my trip in FIVE WEEKS!!!

LOVE your Mickey heads for the countries -- you did a great job.

Our favorite snacks are (in no order):

1. Popcorn
2. Mickey Bar
3. Pretzel
4. Eclair from France
5. Cinnamon roll (for DH) from Main Street Bakery

Don't really have favorite drink snacks...we basically drink water, diet coke for me (although I PREFER Pepsi) and Iced tea for hubby.

I'm so sorry I have been missing. Life got really hectic, and unfortunately DIS had to take the backseat. I hope I can get caught back up on all my threads and everyone will find it in their hearts to forgive me.

I can't really do a top 5 snack list, we've never had many snacks at Disney. We will this time. I do love the tollhouse ice cream sandwich, but am really looking forward to trying a Dolewhip, and a pb&j shake. I did really enjoy my monstrous chocolate covered strawberry from downtown though too.

Oh and turkey legs but that's not really a snack is it?

Seeing your mickey mail is making me really anxious. I wish my trip was paid off and I was just waiting for my mickey mail. Finances got a little tight recently so I am thinking of creative ways to be sure that balance is paid in full by the end of December, the original goal was November.

I'll be back tomorrow to respond to posts and do my weekly countdown (assuming I come up with a good idea by then) tomorrow. But for now, I just wanted to say..

We're finally in the 20 day range at 29 days today!

And...

I'm going to Disney World THIS month!:santa:

I just came over from your comment on my pre trip report! I can't wait to read yours! I'm going back to do that now:cool1:

Today I got accepted into my first choice Grad School.:cool1: I'll be starting in January. I'm going back to school to get my Master's and License in School Psychology. I'm so excited about this next step in my life and can't wait to start!

So how, does this effect my Disney plans?

Well, luckily I won't start until after the 1/2 marathon weekend so no changes there.

And, now I have my school's academic calendar so I know when Spring Break will be! We will officially be going to Disney March 5-12, 2011. I sent the dates to my dad today and he said he would put in for that week at our time share at the Sheraton Vistana resort. Don't worry, I already booked my dining reservations for both possible weeks so those are all set, I just have to go back and cancel the week I won't need now!

I'll be back in a little bit to do my countdown!

First, I'm sorry I've been missing lately. Things have been a little crazy at work. Our sales manager left and I got thrown in to fill in until they can find someone full time (since I'll be leaving to go to school). Needless to say, I feel a little out of the loop.

But, without further ado...

We leave for Disney 4 weeks from today! I had a really hard time coming up with a countdown this week. So, I've decided to list the four main theme parks in order of my favorite to least favorite. Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE all of Walt Disney World but when given the option, I tend to tour the parks beginning with my least favorite and ending with my favorite (excluding MK because we always do it first and last, time permitting). So, here it is:

4. Hollywood Studios - Fantasmic! is my favorite but until TSM was brought into this park, there weren't a whole lot of attractions that I enjoyed. I hated ToT until this past April when I finally got over my fear so I never used to ride it. Now, I enjoy this park a lot more than I used to but that also came from finding some of the hidden gems (i.e. Animation Academy). My favorite ride in this park is... Toy Story Mania!

3. Epcot - I am not a fan of Illuminations. I watch it every trip but it's just not my favorite night time spectacular. I really enjoy Future World but have regrettable never "had the time" to really explore the World Showcase. I'm hoping to gain a better appreciation of this part of the park during the Christmas festivities this trip and again next Oct. during the Food & Wine festival. My favorite attraction in this park is... Test Track.

2. Magic Kingdom - to me this is the quintessential Disney park. It reminds me of my childhood and everything the Disney name truly stands for. When I walk down Main Street, I truly am in my Happy Place. If I had to choose only one park to visit for the rest of my life, this would be it. But, I wouldn't list it as my favorite. Weird I know. My favorite attraction at this park is... Splash Mountain.

1. Animal Kingdom - I'm sure I am one of few that would list this park as my favorite. Most call it a "half day park" or skip it all together. But, what gets it for me, is the tiny little details of this park. I love it's serene beauty and calmness (could do without the added heat it brings though). I love that as you walk towards Expedition Everest you can watch the modes of transportation change from one to the next to show all the different forms necessary to get to the real Mount Everest. The Safari is genius and to me it's amazing to see that after all these years, they've brought Walt's original dream for the Jungle Cruise to life. Plus, I just love animals and it's so much more than a zoo. My favorite attraction at this park is... Expedition Everest.

So, how would you rank the parks? and why? If you've never been, which parks are you most looking forward to visiting? and why?

Hooray for mickey mail!

Those mickey heads are AMAZING. SO beautiful! I bet you get lots of comments about them at the countries, they are really going to notice and appreciate them! Great job!

Thank You, I'm really working hard to get everything finished and ready before we leave. I have to finish our passports and one of my Mom's shirts. I wanted to make shirts for the Candlelight Processional but I'm having trouble coming up with an idea and I'm running out of time.

I've been behind, but still reading here ant there.

That resort looks beautiful. I am not a winter type person...LOL! and have never skid, but that place looks fun.

Oh, I'm not really a winter person either. I love skiing but I could do without the snow the rest of the time. I'd be perfectly happy to just visit places like Montana and then head back some where warmer with no snow.

For snacks, I haven't really tried too many different ones.
I usually go with Miceky bars. I do like tiedye cheesecake at POP, but I hate teh redvelvet crust they have for it. I also like Pops hot fudge sundaes, and Goffys chocolate dipped pretzel rods.

I hear good things about the tie dye cheesecake. I'm thinking we'll probably stay at Pop century next Oct. so I'll definitely have to try it then. Oh, and I can't wait to go to Goofy's Candy co. this trip.

The ski resort looks absolutely beautiful and what a great way for you two to celebrate your anniversary! Short but sweet!

My mom loves Itzakadoozies too! She always talks about how she can't wait to go back so she can get one. I keep telling her she could just go to the grocery store and buy some but she says they aren't the same  Oh, and I definitely want to try the school bread this trip too! And some caramel corn from the new shop in Germany! Did you see the video on the blog about it? popcorn::

I just read all 13 pages. Great PTR! It is wonderful that you get to go to WDW so much. We have been 3 times in one year before and just loved it. We had to go, we had AP's and wanted to get all the value we could out of it :lmao:.

Ok, I thought is was really cool that your brother works on Cougar Town, we LOVE that show, but OMG your brothers friend is an IMAGINEER!!! That is amazing. The goodie box had fantastic stuff.

Welcome and thanks for joining! I read your PTR the other day too but I'm a little behind on things now so I'll have to go check it out again tomorrow hopefully. I am definitely justifying all my trips with the "getting the value" of my AP too! :rotfl: I used a lot of smooth wording and fuzzy Disney math/logic to prove it to my Dad too. I love traveling with my Mom. Since I moved, I don't get to see her that often so it's nice to get some mother/daughter time. Plus, I know how much it means to her. I'm hoping to get to meet up with some Disers while I'm there and it's great that we all have similar plans! I'm glad your pearl worked and you love it so much! It makes me even more excited to do this in Dec! What day are you doing the Candlelight Processional? I was looking for it in your PTR but I don't remember reading that part yet? I'm also glad you like Cougar Town! My brother loves working on it. And his friend is currently in Florida working on the refurb of the Winnie the Pooh attraction. He worked on the interactive games in line for Soarin' and I hear they are installing some in the Pooh attraction as well? Mmm, now you have me craving a cream cheese pretzel just thinking about them. I may have to get one in 28 days when we arrive! Oh, and I love the fruit cups too! Especially the pine apple! It has to be the best ever! Anyway, glad to have you along and I can't wait to read more of your plans!:santa:

Our favorite snacks are (in no order):

1. Popcorn

4. Eclair from France
5. Cinnamon roll (for DH) from Main Street Bakery

Don't really have favorite drink snacks...we basically drink water, diet coke for me (although I PREFER Pepsi) and Iced tea for hubby.

I've only been to the bakery in France once and I had a chocolate croissant that was very good. But, next time I will have to try the Eclair! Oh, and Disney popcorn is the best ever.

I'm so sorry I have been missing. Life got really hectic, and unfortunately DIS had to take the backseat. I hope I can get caught back up on all my threads and everyone will find it in their hearts to forgive me.

No worries! I get behind all the time too! Especially the past few days. I've barely had time for my own PTR let alone anyone elses.

You should definitely try the Dole Whip and pb&j shake. Both are delicious!

Your Mickey Mail will be here before you know it! Though, they seem to be sending it out later and later. I'm at 28 days and based on the when others have been receiving theirs, I don't think mine will come for another 2-3 days..

I just came over from your comment on my pre trip report! I can't wait to read yours! I'm going back to do that now:cool1:

Welcome! Thanks for joinging!

Congratulations!!!! :jumping1: :jumping1:

Congratulations!

:cool1:

That fabulous news

Thank You all! I'm so excited about this next step in my life! :yay: And it feels so good to finally have a definite plan. :goodvibes Except now I have to move (which I expected).:scared1:

Um so, I'm kind of upset.. As I mentioned before, Splash Mountain is my all time favorite attraction. And I've always wanted DBF to ride it but that's just never happened. When we went to Disneyland it was closed for refurb and when we went to WDW it wasn't running that day AT ALL due to technial difficulties. Well, alas, when planning our Jan. trip I was determined to have him ride it. But, what should I come to find out today? Splash Mountain will be closed for refurb Jan 1 - 31, 2011.:sad2: He is just not meant to ride this attraction...

Ooooh another countdown, and why do they seem to be getting harder and harder? I love all the parks and for their each own reasons.

Well here goes,
4. Hollywood Studios- I love this park, but there isn't too many attractions. I really, really love Fantasmic but now that they dont' do it every night, we aren't going to be able to make it this next trip and it makes me sad. Can't wait to try out Toy Story Mania though.

3. Epcot- This park is so overwhelming to me. I am starting to really get into the countries, but I know this time around it's going to be hard with 4 kids in tow. Hopefully we can find ways to make it exciting for them. Coming from a family of foodies, we are so excited to try some new restuarants we have never been to.

2. Animal Kingdom- I just love this park. It is so beautiful and relaxing. I love the attractions and shows, it just makes me smile thinking about it.

1. MK- of course my top, so many things to do and see, i just love it. but I think wishes put's it at my top, I cry everytime. Last time we only had one day here and it rained for most of the day, our next trip we have 2 if not 3 days here so we will have time to really enjoy all it has to offer.

Sorry I've been missing so much lately but life keeps getting in the way...

Anyway,
I waned to let everyone know that last Thursday I received Mickey Mail! I finally got my confirmation packet with my luggage tags and vouchers! I will post a picture tonight when I get home from work.

Also, tomorrow will be the THREE WEEK countdown! Hope you come join in!

:yay::yay: for Mickey mail.

And :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: for three weeks from tomorrow.

Today, we have three weeks till WDW! And for this weeks countdown I have decided to do hotels!

Favorite Hotels that I've stayed at:
3. Port Orleans French Quarter - I'm not a huge fan of the theme of this resort but I have to say, you just can't beat the size of the resort. I love how small it is and that no matter what room you're assigned to, you're never really that far from the food court, pool, or bus stop.

2. Polynesian - I just love the theme of this resort. It was nice staying here and the ease of the monorail really can't be beat but I just love even visiting this resort. It's so relaxing, has great restaurants, I love watching the fireworks from the beach, and is just like a vacation within a vacation.

1. Animal Kingdom Lodge - you just can't beat waking up, walking out on the balcony, and seeing animals on a safari. Plus, the detailing and atmosphere are above and beyond.

Now,

Favorite Resorts I'm most looking forward to staying at some day:

3. Bay Lake Tower/Coronado Springs - I just think Bay Lake is amazing in general. Coronado, I just love everything I've seen and read about the resort. We booked this room 2 years ago but had a king size bed and when my brother decided to come we had to switch to Port Orleans FQ because that was all that was available and then we booked it last year but when we received the 40% pin we upgraded to the Poly so hopefully the third time is a charm.

2. Pop Century - always said this would be where I would stay next time we stayed at a Value resort but we chose All-Star Movies instead in June. I'm hoping to stay here in October.

1. Beach/Yacht Club - I just think staying in the Boardwalk area and being able to walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios would be awesome. Plus, I would LOVE to swim in Stormalong Bay. I almost chose this instead of Bay Lake Tower for our marathon weekend but was afraid it'd be silly in case we couldn't go swimming.

All in all, I love all of the resorts and think each one has it's own special charm. And, it is my goal to eventually stay at all of them, even if it's only for one night. :cloud9:

So, what are yours? Favorites you've stayed? Dream resorts? Can't wait to read about it!popcorn::
