Does anyone out there want to be my Dis Friend? 3 PTRs and 1 1/2 TRs in Progress!

So readers, as you may know, I've been fretting over my T-Rex reservation. I really wanted to see Fantasmic! (at 6:30) but was afraid we wouldn't make it to our 8:00 reservation all the way at DTD. Well, remember I said I heard if you called T-Rex directly there were usually more reservations than what was online but I couldn't find the phone number? Well, I found the phone number this morning (407-828-TREX) and I gave them a call. I told the lady I had two adults and would take any reservation 8:30 or later. Well, get this... she searches and tells me I can have anytime I want at or after 8:30! I went with 8:45 just to be safe! So now we should be able to watch Fantasmic! and still have an hour and 45 minutes to make it to DTD for our reservation! I'm so excited!!! I wonder why the availability is so off on the Disney dining website? Maybe because it's not Disney owned and operated? Oh well, at least I checked!!

Also, I don't know if any of you do photopass but we always do it. And we like to pre-order our Photopass CD because it saves $50 opposed to waiting till you get back. I thought I would post the link for the Pre-Order offer in case any of you wanted to take advantage of it too.
http://www.disneyphotopass.com/previsitoffer.aspx
I tried to do it just now and it asked me to log-in so I did and then it directed back to the main website and I couldn't find the offer on there so I just re-pasted the link and it let me do it (i was already logged in from a second ago). Just in case you face the same problem at first.

Congrats on getting a later ADR and getting to watch Fantasmic! I love that cage for Pick a Pearl, I'm considering doing that when I go also, but I might just buy the setting when I'm there. I'm not sure yet. :confused3

And I'm definitely going to have to remember that link when I'm ready to preorder the photopass CD, I'm sure I won't be able to find it when I'm going to order it! :rotfl:

I really NEED one of the cindy's carraige pendants, and can't find one anywhere!!! help!!!

Search ebay for pearl cages

so did you order the CD already? If not look for a share, if you are interested. I preordered alreays, but plan to head a share if we go. If you want to know more about then, let me know.

BTW I am soooo subscribing and will def. be ur Dis friend (I dun have any) LOL!

Here's the link to the buyer I used but if you just search pearl carriage cage you'll get a couple options. Is it ok that I post the link? I'm still working on what is allowed on the Dis and what isn't. I'm so glad you're joining! It's so fun getting to know and talk to everyone.

All caught up and subbing! How lucky to have all those trips to look forward to. I would also love to see WDW at Christmas. Maybe one day........

Thanks for joining! I think my Christmas trip is the one I'm looking forward to most! I hope you get the chance someday too!

I've only browsed, but want to get in a sub.

Great shirts!!

Thanks for joining! I just started reading your ptr the other day too! I'm anxiously awaiting to hear how it goes with asking for the time off!

Congrats on getting a later ADR and getting to watch Fantasmic! I love that cage for Pick a Pearl, I'm considering doing that when I go also, but I might just buy the setting when I'm there. I'm not sure yet. :confused3

I was so excited to get the new ADR! I will probably look at the other settings too just in case it doesn't fit in my cage! I've seen pictures of some really pretty ones but I was afraid they'd be expensive....:confused3

If you can't remember the link, just google it. It should pop up and you should be able to find it. But you can order it any time and it won't expire.

How does a share work? I've never really heard of that? Can you give me some more info please? Thanks!

Now, for the record, my mom and I are not MORNING Extra Magic Hours type people. We make 9:00am rope drops easily but that 8:00am opening just isn’t our thing. There is something about that extra hour in the morning that just really throws us off but this was the only day I could really make Hollywood Studios work for us. Therefore, we have our update:

Day 4: Dec. 4, 2010 – Hollywood Studios

Your Hollywood Studios list is really short but it’s still necessary to get there early. The park opens at 8:00am for Extra Magic Hours. Plan on being at the shuttle stop by 7:20am.

When you arrive at Hollywood Studios, head down Hollywood Blvd. then follow the Disney Cast Members back to Toy Story Mania!. Grab a Fast Pass for later then go ahead and hop in line and ride. After you’ve taken your best shot at the mid-way games with Woody and Friends, head “drop” by to visit Tower of Terror. After your frightful plunge through the Twilight Zone, head over to grab a Fast Pass for the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. After, proceed over to The Great Movie Ride to check out some of Hollywood’s greatest hits.
If you’re hungry, now would be a good time to grab lunch. I suggest trying Starring Rolls Café or Toy Story Pizza Planet.

After the Great Movie Ride, check you Times Guide to see what is starting soon. If Voyage of the Little Mermaid is then go ahead and check it out. If not, you can head over to the animation studio and learn to draw a Disney Character while you wait. Or, you can try this after too.
When you can, head over to grab a Fast Pass for Tower of Terror. Now, check the time and see if Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show is starting soon and if so check it out. For this show, you will want to get there about 30-45 minutes in advance.

Hollywood Studios’ new parade should start at 3:00pm. If you want to watch it, you should grab a seat no later than 2:15pm.
Now, it’s time to put your Fast Passes to good use. Head to Toy Story Mania! to have one more shot at those 4-D carnival games before heading over to navigate the chaotic Hollywood streets and make it to the Aerosmith concert on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.

Keep an eye on the time, the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights are turned on around 6:00pm. Plan on heading over there around 5:30pm to be there for the initial lighting. Take your time walking down the street and taking in all the sights.

When you’re done, make your way out of Hollywood Studios and catch a boat over to the Yacht Club Resort. You have dinner reservations at 8:30pm at the Captain’s Grille. After dinner, catch a bus to one of the parks or Downtown Disney and then back to your resort. Get a good night’s sleep, tomorrow is another relaxation day.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions on attractions I missed?

Also, anyone have suggestions on quick service meals in this park? This is the one I always have trouble finding a favorite.

Hey there! I made it over like I promised. :goodvibes

Add me to the list of people totally jealous of your brother! How exciting!
Your four trips make me jealous of you too though. ;)

Nov 30th -- We'll have just come off of our Park Fare breakfast :) You will love the stepsisters!! How tired will you be for MVMCP that night after your early flight? I'd be zonked. Oh nevermind, just read how you're napping in between. Love the shirt you've made!

Dec 1st -- Animal Kingdom! We should try and meet up for EE at night!! Love the zebra shirt!

Dec 2nd -- Our resort/relax day too but we're heading to DTD for the evening. Might see you there too! :rotfl:

Dec 3rd -- Epcot day! I just reached that day on my PTR (finally!) and we'll be at Les Chefs together :) You'll meet Remy, he's scheduled for 5:25pm. Hopefully you can meet up for drinks with the bunch I mentioned on my PTR.

Dec 4th -- Alright, you're getting a sneak peek of my PTR (and you're not going to believe this) we won't be at DHS but we're going to be at the Boardwalk that evening too!

Dec 5th -- Our paths cross again but briefly and at this point it's just nuts how similar our trips are! :lmao:

Dec 6th -- Are you kidding me? Our park days and ADRs are identical!!

Love the waffle maker! I think you got a great deal for sure!

Yay you got the pick a pearl carriage necklaces too! I've not yet read a PTR/TR that said they were too small so my fingers are crossed they're OK.

I really like your updates reading like touring plans too. Great idea!

popcorn::

Sorry I have been missing, been really busy. My b-day is JUNE 27!!! My daughter's is June 6th. How exciting!!!! She doesn't know about the pick a pearl yet, I am going to surprise her. She's 11 right now.

I am so glad you were able to get the T-Rex ressie thing figured out and will be able to see Fantasmic. We are passing up on that show this time and it makes me really, really sad, but I just don't want to deal with the extra crowds with 4 kids in tow.

Hi! Thanks for coming over, I'm really enjoying reading you PTR too! I can't believe how similar our trips are!!! We should definitely do EE at night, that's one of the things I'm look forward to most, that and getting pictures of it and the Tree of Life lit up.

I'm definitely up for getting a drink and meeting everyone in Epcot (especially if it's in France - those slushies are just amazing). I can't wait to meet Remy, I wish we could have gotten a slightly earlier reservation but that was the earliest time that included the Candlelight Processional package. I can't wait to do our carriages, I really hope everything works out for us size wise! It's comforting that you haven't read anything about them not working:woohoo:

I'm sure we'll be running into each other a lot throughout the week!

Sorry I have been missing, been really busy. My b-day is JUNE 27!!! My daughter's is June 6th. How exciting!!!! She doesn't know about the pick a pearl yet, I am going to surprise her. She's 11 right now.

Aw our birthdays are so close! And my brother's birthday is actually June 6th like your daughter's! But he's 27. I'm sure she'll love the carriage!

I feel a lot better knowing that I can make both Fantasmic! and our reservation without stressing out now! But, I can't blame you for not wanting to fight those crowds with four kids!:scared: I remember how stressful when it was when we took my little cousins and there was only two of them!

Welp, we're down another week so it's time for another countdown!

Today, (as per your suggestion) I'll be doing my 8 least favorite attractions:

#1 being my absolute least fav

8. The Hall of Presidents (B-O-R-I-N-G, not big on the History, sorry)
7. The Magic Carpets of Aladdin/Triceratop Spin (I'll stick with my Dumbo/Teacups)
6.Ellen's Energy Adventure (It's just so loooong, takes too much valuable park time)
5. Honey I Shrunk the Audience (hate those mice on my legs, anxious to try Captain EO)
4. Star Tours (but, I'll try it again after the refurb is finished)
3. Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor (maybe me got a bad group, I may try it again)
2. Stitch's Great Escape (Love Stitch, hate the ride.. hated it in it's previous form too)
1. It's A Small World (I get that it's a classic and I really want to like it, but I just can't)

If you would have asked me prior to my April trip I would have listed Tower of Terror. I HATED this ride when I went when I was 12 and refused to ride it for 11 years after. In April, my brother said he would buy me any souvenir I wanted if I rode it just once. So I did it. And... LOVED it! Now it's one of my favorites! I still get a little jittery and am usually shaking when I get off but in June my mom and I rode it three times in a row :rolleyes1:.

So, what are you least favorite attractions? Any of you have a "tower of terror" attraction like I did?

I like alot of your dislikes. LOL!

I don't care for the country bears. And I don't care for Honey I shrunk the Audience or the Muppet 3-D movie either anymore. Back in the day, I loved them, but I think they both are too old now. I have heard something was done to Muppets, but not sure what. I do want to try Captain EO too.

I liked the old Figment better. We skipped it last rip, but Claire realized it after we got home, so we'll have to fit it in this next one. It's not bad, just the othr one was better.

I've not done Stitch, but I did ride it back when it was the Aline ecounter. That was the SCARIEST ride I have EVER been on. And I liked it. But I think wit hthe Stitch twist to it, I won't.

Yay only 8 weeks left, how exciting for you. So I know I was the one that mentioned the least favorites, but it's going to be hard. I don't know if I can come up with 8 of them.

7. Reflection of China (it was cool, but standing for that long after walking Epcot was for the birds)
6.O Canada (same thing, no sitting, and after walking standing for that long is hard)
5. Enchanted Tiki Room (naptime, but the kids haven't seen it, so we'll be visiting again)
4. Stitch's great Escape ( 2 thumbs down, but the kids loved it)
3. Mad Tea Party (cool looking, but oh so not for me, I couldn't even watch my daughter on it without getting sick)
2. Star Tours (yak, not a good experiene, hopefully the renewed one will be better)
1. Primevil Whirl (noticing a pattern for my not so favorite things, thinkin my motion sickness is progressing with age)

Oh yes. Primevil whirl is another awful one. I rode it once, and it about made me sick.

The Stitch one just really needs an update. I would head for Figment early in the morning, it tends to not have any like first thing because people are still so focused on the thrill rides. That way, you can just get it out of the way.

Ii've never done any of the attractions in the World Showcase other than Maelstrom. I would like to but we just never seem to have time to fit them in. I was talking to my brother and one of his friends (I'll talk more about his friend tomorrow in a very excited update I have planned) and we've decided that one these days we would like to "Drink Around The World" and in the process, catch as many of the world showcase attractions as we can. Gotta do this before I get too old though...

Oh yes. Primevil whirl is another awful one. I rode it once, and it about made me sick.

I know a lot of people that don't like Primeval Whirl but I actually really like it and get upset when my vehicle doesn't turn very much :lmao:. But, then again, I really like my spinny attractions!

Alright, I found you and I'm all caught up! Thanks for commenting on my PTR, yours is so much fun!

I LOVE the shirts you've made. They are so beautiful! That christmas one is so amazing!

I missed last weeks countdown, so I'm going to do both.

Favorites!

9. Carousel of Progress (I think I'm the only one!)
8. Spaceship Earth
7. TTA
6. Philharmagic
5. Nemo (the ride, not the show)
4. FOTLK
3. Living with the land (but I liked it better with a skipper)
2. It's a small world
1. Soarin'

Least Favorites:

8. Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor (I am just NOT this kind of person!)
7. Stitch's Great Escape (which is a shame because I used to love the Alien Encounter)
6. Country Bear Jamboree
hmmm....this is hard...
5. Kali River Rapids
4. The Great Movie Ride
3. Sounds Dangerous (is this still there???)
2. Rafiki's planet watch
1. Mission Space

That was much harder than the likes!

Glad to be part of your PTR!

Day 6: Dec. 5, 2010 - Relaxtion/Hodge Podge

This was another one of those days that I planned to just take it easy and enjoy our resort. But, you over-planners out there know how that goes... So, the plan for today:

"Sleep-in" until about 8:00am. We'll grab a quick breakfast at our resort (CSR) before heading to Downtown Disney. I'm hoping to be at DTD around 10:15-10:30am. Jim Shore is making an appearance and doing signings at the Art of Disney Gallery from 11:00am - 2:00pm. My mom and I are both big fans and have several of his figurines. We will both be getting one of our pieces signed. Now, I just have decide which one I want signed, and I need to call and make sure that I can bring one of my Disney Jim Shore's with me or if I have to buy it there. I don't mind buying one as long as they have one I want but I'm afraid they won't have one I want and I hate to buy it and have it signed just to do it, ya know?

After we've done the signing we're going to head over to have our picture taken with Santa :santa:. Yes, I know I'm 24 but I just can't resist, besides, everyone's a kid at WDW!

We'll probably check out some of the shops we didn't have time to the other night.

Depending on the time, we may head back to our resort but if it's getting close to 2:00pm we'll head to a resort to catch a bus to Epcot.

We have lunch reservations at 2:00pm at Via Napoli. I'm so excited to try this new restaurant! After lunch, we may check out some attractions or Santas that we missed the other day.

In June my mom and I did the Epcot passports and it was so much fun! I got to see so much more of the World Showcase than I usually do! I've been working on making us passports for this trip and I'm hoping to have a Holiday Message wrote in them at each of the countries so we may try to get any we missed at this point too. I'll post a pic once I've finished them.

Then, around 4:00-5:00pm we'll catch the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom! I definitely want to see the Castle lighting ceremony this night! Then it's time to enjoy our second MVMCP! Tonight will be all about the shows, parade, and fireworks! I want to see all that the party has to offer! We'll probably catch the second parade in the hopes that it'll be less crowded. I'm sure at some point will have to grab a quick dinner too. I'm a little worried about this because I know they limit the number of places that are open and I hope they aren't too crowded.

After the party, we'll head back to our resort and rest up so we can enjoy our last day of magic the following day.

OK, here's my shirt for our second MVMCP (took it on my phone so it isn't great):

Everything sound good? Any suggestions? Has anyone done the Festival of the Seasons at Downtown Disney? What exactly is it?

Glad to be part of your PTR!

Hi , and thanks for joining my PTR! Thanks and I'm glad you're enjoying my PTR and liked my shirts! I enjoyed making them so much I've been trying to come up with ideas for my other days!

You're not the only one, I really like Carousel of Progress to but it jsut didn't quite make the top 9 list. I had a really hard time limiting my favorites to 9 and an even harder time coming up with 8 least favorites. Some of them were easy (i.e. Stitch and Monster's Inc.) but the others were more ones that I just don't care one way or another if we fit them in.

I heard Sound's Dangerous ran briefly over the summer while Toy Story Mania! was being refurbed (not sure how they thought those would equate but whatever) but usually it's not running anymore. I also heard they are planning to redo the area into a new attraction so we'll see! I personally would love to see a new attraction come! And I may be the only one but I think a Villans themed attraction would be cool. Nothing too scary but some type of thrill ride and Hollywood Studios is the perfect place for that type of thing!

Everytime I see the words Via Napoli, my outh waters. LOL!~ I need to give it a try.
Looks like a fun day.

I'm here and subscribed. I'll be back a bit later to get caught up. :)

Oh you're never too old to get your picture taken with Santa! I'm doing it too :santa: The more I hear about Via Napoli the more I want to try it. Hurray for 'next time'.

Can't wait to see your passports. I'm going to snag the ones at the pavilions and do it for the first time this trip. :cool1: Your Let it snow shirt is too cute!

You know a villans ride would be a great idea for the sounds dangerous spot.
