Does anyone NOT like the HOJO?

I think Itsmom was more bothered by my reply and was addressing me rather than the topic at hand.

I have stayed at 4-5 star hotels. But I have stayed at my fair share of 2-3 star hotels. I stayed at the HoJo because of the reviews I had seen on it. I figured all these people can't be wrong and why not save a few bucks. I think that was what was most disappointing. I was all hyped up thinking it was a nice place to stay. You only get one chance to make a first impression and making me lug my luggage up a narrow flight of stairs was a horrible first impression. Then the smell of the room finalized the deal. Maybe the towers are nicer, but it's not something I personally ever care to find out for myself.

I came on here giving my honest opinion and I guess that offended someone. Just because people "have money" doesn't mean we spend it frivolously. Can I afford to stay at an onsite hotel everytime I go, yes I probably could, but I don't like throwing money away just because I have it. Next time I go, I am leaning towards staying off site to save some money and I hope I can get an honest and fair opinion when I come on here and ask without getting ridiculed.

NO your replies have not offended me at all...I'm sorry if others felt you were acting 'picky' because I did not see it that way at all. I would not want a smelly or moldy room either and if that makes me 'picky' well have at it then. I was looking for honest replies and that is what I got but some were more harsh than others to an unnecessary degree imo.

I totally agree that everyone's experience will be different based on what they expect and just in general who they are but asking questions on these boards does help the decision making process, for my anyway.
