Does anyone NOT like Crocs?

I bought my first pair of crocs after hearing the entire rave about them over here. I think they are so ugly, but I figured I would get them for WDW. I tried wearing them to work today, but I just couldn't make it out the door... they looked so stupid on me. Maybe I picked an unflattering color? I got white ones because I thought they would go the best with what I wear. Well anyways, I wore them to the store tonight and they didn't feel amazingly comfortable. They were OK, but not worth $30. Maybe once I do more walking at WDW I will realize how much better they are on my feet than sneakers. But for now... I'm still skeptical

We'll be 'croc-less' in the world also!!!! Can't say I think too much of them, personally. Might be the most comfortable shoes on the planet...but even that wouldn't be enough for me to put those dreadful looking things on my tootsies!!! To each his own, it's just my opinion!! I do think that I'm in the minority though...everyone seems to LOVE them!! :confused3

I agree...UGLY. I don't think many people know that they were actually designed for gardening...you know, going out and getting in the dirt. Not for everyday wear. I think they are so unattractive I won't even let my daughters wear them!

I tried a pair of Crocs on at my local Hallmark store and even wearing socks, I can't image how I could wear them for any length of time. The bumps on the sole I think are meant to massage your feet but for me, they just bothered me. I think that for me within a half hour or so, the bottom of my feet would be in pain if I wore them. So, I am going to stick to my sneakers. Though I was at a county fair yesterday and I did see a few people wearing Crocs. I guess that they are good for some people...just not for me. I think that the trick is to find whatever pair of shoes that will work for you and buy them ahead of time so that you can wear them & break them in before you get to Disney.

My daughter has a pair and i tried them on. They are not as comfy as my Teva mush. I am a flip-flop & ugg lover though. And I think they are one of the ugliest style of shoes I have ever seen.

I think about calling the fashion police every time I see someone with crocs on. I wouldn't even try them no matter how comfortable they are. My level of comfort would still tell me to just say "NO".

I'm not a huge fan of them either. I've tried to love them, tried them on evrytime I spot them, but they just don't feel great. I'll take a nice pair of sneakers any day.

Same here. I keep trying them on thinking I am missing something but I just don't get it????

I agree that they are ugly, especially on my 40 something year old feet! I wore them at universal this summer and got a nice blister for it. They were comfortable and cool, thats for sure, so I get their appeal. I think they are cuter on little feet. My black ones make me look like I have gigantic feet.

On our first day, DH and I got blisters from wearing our Crocs, so for the remainder of our trip, he switched to sneakers and me to Tevas. I had worn the Crocs around town for a few weeks with no problems, but I found that hours of walking through Universal just didn't work. OTOH, both my kids had them and wore them for 10 days straight with no problems. I think mine just didn't fit right - I was kind of between sizes, and I think they were too big. The smaller size would have been too small, though. Same was true with DH.

I'm so glad someone finally brought this up! I see them everywhere, on adults and especially on kids, and I just can't find a way to get past the way they look to consider trying them on! I wore my Tevas on our Disney trip a couple of years ago, and I thought they weren't the most attractive, but they were much better looking than the Crocs, and very comfy! My Mom always sticks with good old fashioned sneakers, and loves them!

...that would be ME....I think they are the most HIDEOUS thing I have aver seen, made out of rubber.....[ ...well, ALMOST....]

You won't catch me wearing them! They are ugly and I'm just not going to get them. I'll be wearing my sneakers.

Sorry, just can't wear something THAT UGLY out the door! :teeth: we sell them at Walmart and a few people buy them but not too many. Actually, I really don't see how they can be as comfortable as everyone says...that plastic/rubber stuff isn't very comfy to me. Helen

i HATE them! i recently had surgery and all of the nurses were wearing them in all kinds of wild colors- add the pain meds they gave me and i might as well have been at the circus!! i dont know what im missing though- people love em! but IMO they are fine for garden or beach, not so great for work or everyday :confused3

My dd has 2 pair of them. Me, I will pass. I have tried them on and do not like them. Not only are they ugly, I do not feel they are all that comfortable.

I started a thread several months ago with almost this same heading. :rotfl: :rotfl: I felt a little guilty NOT liking them!! Well, I finally broke down and bought the flip flop version, and although they are comfortable the Teva Mush flops are better IMO. Like others have said, I try on the original ones every time I go into a store that has them (I feel I'm missing something, I guess), but I don't think they feel that great and they seem to rub badly. :confused3

I... just... can't... do.... it!! I can't get past the look, comfy or not.

Almost every kid on my daughter's swim team had them - including mine. On all the kids, they kinda looked cute - but only as a novelty.

I actually tried on the flip flops, but to me they were not significantly more comfortable than any other pair. I guess I expected my feet to be transformed.

I just don't get this thing with crocs... Seriously. I am a gardener and they are not even comfortable in the garden - at least not here in Austin Texas. They first of all are hot and slippery inside - when your feet sweat they just slide around in them. At least flip flops let air get to your feet. Secondly I look for cushioning when I look for comfort walking more than 5 miles a day - and we all know we walk more than that in WDW! So no cushioning AT ALL! And they give your feet no support for all that walking, and they are hot and sweaty - talk about your friendly fads. I think the only good thing about them is that so many people will have sore feet they will leave the parks early and I can ride in the shortened lines!!!

I hate them too! I got a pair and wore them for a day. They were not as comfortable as my Nikes and in bare feet they were slimy! I ended up giving them to Goodwill.
