Does anyone like Tony's in MK ?

We have eaten at Tony's twice and both times we enjoyed it. We have always had great service and the food has always been fine. The only reason we are not going this time is because we want to try a different place. I say try it and see what you think.

Here's another take on the question....we arrive at the MK at opening and plan for our party to meet up at 2 pm for lunch. Hopefully get a peek at the parade at 3. The kids will then be ready to return to the hotel for a swim and some down time. How difficult will it be to get out of the park, postparade, if we were to choose Liberty Tree Tavern over Tony's?

LTT is obviously farther from the park entrance and you will likely see a small surge of people exiting MK right after a parade. Normally, you have a couple of direct paths to take to Main Street but they are bottlenecks in crowded situations as they are always bridges. Sometime we find the path directly to Crystal Palace and then thru the shops from Casey's Corner all the way thru Main Street during very crowded times are our best bet. All that said, I have never seen the crowd during the day to be anything like you see at night after their fireworks (Wishes) show. Tony's is perfectly situated to make a dash to the exit even when the parade ropes are still up.

Our dislike of this restaurant had nothing to do with price, the food was very blah. Someone said and I've said it, you can get better in your grocers freezer! :rotfl: Dessert on the other hand was really tasty and we were there to see the parade in air conditioning! :sunny: That part was good. Our waitress was very pleasant but a little slow and it was NOT busy when we went. We had no PS. Walked up picked a time and came back for it and were seated right away. No excuse for the slow service. That was back in Nov. 2004 hopefully it's improved.

Tony's was a real good option for our family in May '05. We needed somewhere to cool off and eat something other than corn dogs and on the run menu options. We felt the spag./ meatball portions were big enough dh and I could share and the girls could order kid portions and we topped it off with dessert. And we left with a smaller price tag, cooler, and comfortable-not miserably full. We like too how close it is to the train and ride a bit before riding again. We liked Tony's!

We have eaten there several times and found it good everytime. I think many people think "Olive Garden at the MK" and when it isn't that they are dissatisfied. We have enjoyed it. You may too!

Sorry, I have to give dinner at Tony's thumbs down. I've described their food in the past like this, "If you can boil spaghetti and put some tomato paste on it and overcook steak, you can replicate a meal at Tony's."

I am Italian and grew up outside NYC, where all my relatives still lived. I've eaten a lifetime's worth of amazing, authentic Italian food, so I may be harder to please than most. That being said, this food isn't even passable in my book, just bad. The price made it even worse, but I wouldn't their dinner food for free.

Lunch, I have read more positive reviews for and may give that a try one day. Their breakfast used to be great! Enjoy!

We liked it. It wasn't on our original places to go but we were looking for something different (this was toward the end of the trip) - went on-line looked at the menu and it seemed decent.

I do remember one reason I didn't think to try it was that it didn't get very good reviews.

I ended up liking it and thought it was a perfectly fine place to eat. We are pretty basic eaters though. (Our meal was memorable in that my DS-5 decided to fall off the chair there though (he was in a booster seat) and make a slight scene. :rotfl: )

I would go there again. I had the spaghetti, DH had a steak.

we ate there the night of Halloween and enjoyed it, I would eat there agin, service was great, food was good, we had the Salmon, yep, when I got to Disney I will definetly eat there again. :earsgirl:
