We are trying to decide where we can go for a "great" steak.
We like ours medium well. I have heard pros and cons about LeCellier, and thought I would ask about Yachtsman
Thanks,
Anny

We have eaten at both and far prefer Yachtsman---a little more pricey but well worth the extra cash---sauteed mushrooms to die for

Paul in TX

We ate there in October and were disappointed in the food. Surprisingly, two nights before had eaten at Flying Fish and found the food far much better. Have heard
Shula's at the Swan is fantastic.

I love YSH! They offer a nice selection of meats unlike many of the restaraunts at Disney that only offer one or two different cuts. It's the one true steakhouse on the property so if you're a steak lover you will more than likely love it too!

i would go to yachtsman over canada! pay a little more and try the dessert sampler for 12.00 a little bit of everything from key lime pie to jack daniels choc cake to creme brulee

We enjoyed our frist trip to the Yachtsman so much during our trip in October that before we left the restaurant, we booked another PS for the last evening of our trip so we could have the experience all over again.

The Yachtsman is our new MUST DO!

we ate there on the 13th and were a little disappointed....wasn't bad just not as good as we had hoped...had a better steak at Le Cellier and a better lobster tail at CapnJacks

AFAIC, "great steak" and "medium well" do not go together, LOL. I can attest to a very good medium rare steak there :).

We loved le Cellier when we ate there last year, but absolutely had the best steak at WDW this chirstmas at Yachtsman. DS and DH had filet(medium) and I had NY strip (medium well) and they were perfect and delicious. Service was also very good and I don't think you will have a problem with well-done because our server explained in easy term (cooked thru-no pink, etc) what the doneness would be and they were right on. Great creme brulee dessert and wonderful mussell appetizer! It is a favorite now!
Connears

We have eaten at the Yachtsman every single trip since they opened and would not think of missing it. We like the food, the service and the atmosphere better than Le Cellier.

Absolutely not..the yachtsman served the worst steak we have ever had..anywhere in a restaurant. Full of gristle, no flavor. Poor service.

We usually give a restaurant a second chance, but Yachtsman was so bad, we won't even consider giving it a second chance.

Had some great steak at the YSH in June, cooked to perfection and those mushrooms were yummy :)

Claire ;)

Yachtsman is one of the few places that age the beef right on Disney property. Then these states are grilled on a REAL wood stove/grille. This is the BEST steak on Disney property, great service, a must-do.
