does anyone like any of the CS at DS?

ok--we downgraded from deluxe DDP to regular, so now we have three counter service meals the day we go to Disney Studios.

I have been looking at the favorite threads for CS-- everyone seems to hate the CS at Disney Studios..

Does anyone out there have a favorite??? We did Toy Story Pizza last time and swore we would not do it again. We think though it was because we waited too long-- after 1 pm and the crowds around us (teenaged kids) were quite obnoxious and kept stealing people chairs-- weird.

It was a disaster... I was hoping maybe if we tried to go early, it might be better?

I was thinking too we could also go eat at DTD that evening for dinner.. we have found that one whole day at DS is a lot for us (we have girls 6,4 and one) and don't do fantasmic because they are turbo scaredy cats.

I truthfully dislike CS at DHS.I have tried the mall and I have found that they are various levels of stink,stank,stunk.BUT if I had to pick one I would have to goback to pizza planet.

No. Do we make do and eat it anyway? Yes. I mean, it's not completely awful. It's ok, it's convenient.

Whenever my family and I are at Hollywood Studios we always eat at the ABC Commissary and think it's a very good counter service location that has some good options on their menu for you to choose from.

We did the ABC Commissary too, and it was fine. Did not care for Pizza Planet either!

we either eat TS at sci-fi, 50s or brown derby, or else we just go over to epcot where there are unlimited food choices (both CS and TS)

IMO the only decent option is Pizza Planet. We usually either get a TS at DS or eat lunch back at our resort when we take a mid-day break.

I have no problems with any CS and DHS. We like ABC Commissary and Backlot very much

I'm just not a huge fan of DHS to begin with.

For CS I do like Backlot. Very good grilled turkey & cheese sandwich... and still has that cheeseburger for my DF! I'm interested in trying the southwest salad there, too... it sounds delish.

We choose pizza planet. We have never had a bad experience. We just ate there on 4/22 & 4/28 both times at 11:30 and there was hardly anyone else in the place and this was a busy spring break week.

Oh, I just noticed your inquiry on PP. We usually end up there at some point, too. We always sit upstairs and it hasn't ever been busy up there, even when we've waited in a decent line. Always fairly quiet and nicely cool up there. Sorry you had some annoying kids near you to ruin your experience!

We don't like most of the food available at DHS. If we do find ourselves there for a meal we like the Studio Catering Co. The BBQ sandwich is good and the tables are shaded.

Backlot is the only one worth dining in IMO...Decent turkey sandwich!

We really have not cared for any of the CS we tried at DS. We really, really hate ABC Comm-it was really horrible. We threw most of it out and have sworn to never eat there again! Back Lot wasn't that great either, but at least we could eat it both times we tried it. After these experiences with CS we have sworn off CS at DS. We do TS lunches at SCi-Fi, Brown Derby (mostly for the cobb salad), and 50's primetime.

We like Rosie's All American Cafe. They have burgers, chicken nuggets, soup and salads. Not fancy, but good food.

At every other park, there is at least one, and usually a few, CS locations I really enjoy. I can't say that for DHS. I think all of the CS there is lousy. We still eat CS there - usually at ABC Commissary, occasionally at one of the small stands by Sunset Blvd (like Toluca Legs).
