A year ago, we had planned on going on the West Coast Disney Cruise. DH's work slowed down and we decided to cancel it due to the cost for a family of 6. In the meantime, I had ordered some embroidered pillow cases from an ebayer to take with us to be autographed by the characters. Each pillowcase has the child's name and a character embroidered on it.

Is there someplace in Disneyland that I can take these, drop them off to have them autographed by a bunch of characters, and pick them up a day or two later? I know that's how it's done on the cruise ship - you drop them off at the purser's desk and they are delivered to your room already autographed.

I wanted to keep these a surprise for the kids, but don't want to have to chase the characters around the park to get the autographs.

Thanks!

I know this is not your question, but...
To my knowledge there are no Weest Coast Disney cruises (until next year). Can you please tell me information about the West Coast Disney Cruise you booked? Thanks.

As for what you asked about, I have not heard of this service. Curious to see see if others have.

At this time, there's no such service at Disneyland. It's really a cruise thing. You might ask at City Hall and see if they'll do that for you, but if they do it, I'm sure that it would be done in one day (depending how busy they are).

Honestly, why wouldn't you just autograph them? There's no way they are actually taking the item to the characters on the ship and having them signed while the person is in costume - they just take them off stage, have someone sign it and deliver it. Why wouldn't you just do the same?

It was for the cruises last summer. We had planned on cruising July 2008 and cancelled the trip before the final payment was due. I'm hoping when they permanently come to the west coast they will be a little less expensive since they won't be so limited.

I didn't think it was a service that they offered, but didn't know if anyone else had ever tried it. I'll be there this next weekend, so I think I will give it a try. Can't hurt to ask. The worst that can happen is they'll say no.

Because I can't make the autographs look like those of the characters. I know they are trained to sign their character's name a specific way. I know that one person would probably do all of the signatures and that's fine with me. My kids would know the difference because they have autograph books and would definitely compare the autographs.

Ummm they DO have characters sign them, they have one night and they all sit in a line and blow through them... every character has there own unique sig. I had pillow cases done on our first Disney cruise and when I compared sigs to ones my kids had done face to face on the same cruise they were the same.

As for your question no that is just something special the cruise does.... BUT if you go to the dis cruise boards I am sure someone would be willing to have it done for you on an up coming cruise as long as you paid the shipping!

Okay, this is what I was thinking I might have to have someone do. I'll then put them away for our next Disneyland trip and suprise the kids with them then. Thanks everyone!
