I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether or not you have to pay for parking at the parks, if you are staying onsite? I thought it was free if you where a guest, but I thought I just read somewhere that you have to pay??
Also I have been hearing soo many bad things about the buses lately, especially about POR which is where we plan on staying.. Do you think it would be better to drive ourselves (we would ONLY consider this if it IS free)? any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks....:)
oh yea one more thing, if you have ADR'S at one of the resorts, can you park for free there?

Resort guests do not pay to park at theme park parking lots.:earsboy:

I suggest you don't drive to MK.
You'd need to park at TTC and take the monorail or ferry boats to and from the park.

We just returned yesterday from our trip. It was great. The busses were a huge help. We drove to MK on night and it was a mistake. I did not know you had to go to TTC. We stayed at POP and the only thing about the busses was most times we had to stand. Everything was within 10 min except MK was about 20 min. Once you park your car just leave it. Good Luck and have a blast!!!

What I do when I go to the MK is valet park at the Poly. I hate the parking at the MK,so I go to one of the resorts.

OK, I'll bite.

What's so different about parking at the Poly and having to take the monorail (or a "shuttle boat") to and from MK, and fighting the same traffic because the Poly lot and the MK lot use the same entrance and (roughly) exit?

PLUS, even if you are a WDW resort guest (at another resort) you will have to pay the $7 to $10 parking fee (plus tip) for the valet.

Is it just the TRAMS you don't like?

Ok , so am I understanding this correct,? I can park for FREE at ANY park and resort, but would need to pay for Valet?? what is the difference b/w TTC and MK parking??

On our last trip we stayed on site for the first time. We were able to drive and park anywhere other guest could. for MK we drove to CR and parked. It is a short walk to MK and when leaving it is much easier.

On the last day we drove to AK and started our drive back after closing at 5. It worked out great as our kids were picked to be in the Festival of the Lion King show and set the mood for the journey.

TTC parking actually IS the MK parking lot (always has been).

MK was designed so guests would leave their cars in the lot at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) and board a monorail or ferry and be transported away from "reality" into the MK.
The Poly parking lot is adjacent to TTC parking.

Valet parking at a luxury resort does charge a fee (plus tip) for anyone parking their car, WDW resort guest or not.

Ok think I got it now :) Never really thought to park at poly or CR for MK, have to look in to that?
