I know Chef Anette left a couple of weeks ago. I am wondering who her replacement is...

We just ate there a week and a half ago and were told of the sad news Annette GG has left Disney and working with the TGIF chain as a consultant in Texas. We were also told by (I hope I get this right) the Sous Chef, Brett Hill, that they have not replaced her for the Chef de Cuisine (thank God for seeing Ratatouille three times...otherwise, I wouldn't know the titles of these people!). Anyway, He has been working with Annette for a while now. I remember he was at Party for the Senses representing Jiko last year at the WFF at Epcot. The food is still great. So, in answer to your question, there is none as of this writing.

Perhaps Uncle "R" will let us know when a replacement has been found. In the past, he has been in correspondence with Anette, so he may get some inside information. Anette will be missed.

When I last talked with her, I don't believe she really knew who was going to replace her. It's a top WDW restaurant, so I am hoping it will attract someone "special".

Let's hope they hire someone who was as special as Anette was. We met her a couple of years ago and really enjoyed our time talking to her. Jiko is a great place that we dine on every trip. :)

Brett and Michael both sat briefly with us at different times during dinner last Saturday evening, and that's what they told us. Maybe she didn't want to let the cat out of the bag before it was definite. They did say it was a tearful farewell.
