Does anyone know what the main OKW pool's theme will be after the renovation?

I'm thinking of buying a resale contract in the near (6 mos - 1 year) future and was wondering what the pool would be like after they add the slide I've heard about.

they aren't changing the theme - the slide will be a sand castle.

Still the Key West sandcastle theme as before, just adding the slide. Many of us OKW owners were a bit worried about the theme changing, so we are glad they stayed true to the resort.

The only question I had after seeing the drawings a while back was how much they would change the sand area.

There has been a sand area there for years now for the kids so Sand Castle fits right in. I would not buy into OKW for the slide, it is going to be like most other slides like you find at WDW, hardly a water park slide. The only DVC resort that has a slide worth talking about is BCV, much different from you normal slides at WDW. Look at everything else you want to have in a DVC resort before you buy, OKW slide is hardly a head-liner.

But it definitely is an added plus, especially for those of us with little kids who seem to go down the water slides 100 times in an hour! LOL! I have to say that it's a nice feature to add to OKW. And I'm thrilled that they aren't changing the theme of the main pool area. I have always loved it and found it to be unique.

Actually, the theme of the OKW Pool will be "We've got a slide now, nyaaah!"
