Does anyone know the progress of the Irish Pub at DTD, and when it will open?

I was there in April and they had it blocked off with plywood. I am very curious what it will be called and what the set-up will be like inside. I cant wait.

I believe it will be called Raglan Road.

I read on allearsnet or mouseplanet that it is supposed to open some time this summer. the only other thing I know about it (I think from mouseplanet a few weeks ago) is that it will serve food, and it will not be operated by Disney (like Rainforest Cafe).

Yeah, It is an outside "Operating participant"

The last date I heard was late summer, or early fall. I haven't heard anything new on the progress, but I'll probably know more in about 3 weeks when I get back down there.

...it's being operated by a group which opened a similar pub in Las Vegas a few years back, so I expect they are pros at high-turnover, overpriced touristy theme restaurants.

Someone had posted recently that July 17th is the opening date. I cant confirm that, but that was the latest I read.

ok - playing dumb here .....

i have never gone to PI - can you get on that island during the day? do you have to pay to get on the island?

interested in possibly taking my DS (10) to this place for lunch or a very early dinner (get out before the place gets too roudy) He loves Irish folk songs and would dig eating there, having a soda and singing along with the entertainment.

any one have advise or info on my chances of doing this with him?

Right now, Pleasure Island is closed during the day, and opens at 7pm. It's free to walk through, you just have to pay to get into the clubs.

The Irish pub won't require admission.

I don't know if the island's open/closed status will change due to the pub or not.
