........I could surprise my children with? This is our first trip to Disney and I would like to WOW them with some fun secrets. I know about the hidden Mickey's but my BIL told me there were other secrets at all the parks. If you don't want to post here on the thread, could you please send me a PM.:)

Thanks!!!!

When you go to Muppetvision 3D have them look under the mat by the "ticket booth". There is a sign on the booth that says "Back in 5 minutes - key under mat".

Going in October, I printed out the pocket guide to each of the parks.:)

thanks for the website...

There are also hidden mickeys everywhere. You may start a hunt for them. There is no official record of them so maybe you can have the kids start their own.:goodvibes

I dont know if this is the kind of information your looking for or not, but this is what I have to offer up;

Monorail.

Don't be in a hurry to board the monorail. Ask the attendant if you can sit up front with the pilot. He/she will direct you to a waiting area for those seats. Limit 4 persons allowed, so if your party is made up of more than that I would strongly suggest you decide who will sit with the pilot before your turn. You can do this a couple of time during your trip and I prefere the trip to Epcot, its nice and long. Think of questions to ask the pilot since they are not tour guides and dont always just offer up information.

Liberty square riverboat

Before you step onto the boat, ask the attendant about sitting in the wheel house with the captain. There were 5 of us who did this (self and 4 kids) and they loved it. They got to ring the bell and pull the cord on the steam whistle.

We got a pilots licence for the monorail and the boat, which are great in your scrapbook.

Have a great trip!:wizard:

Have a fairy godmailer send them a postcard before your trip. It's in a special sticky at the top of this thread (I think it's this one......) Someone will send one to your kids "from Mickey" if you promise to return the favor for someone else. I sent out a whole bunch when I was last there; it was really fun!

If you can, purchase the Imagineering Field Guides (or just go and read them at the bookstore and take notes!). There is one for each of the parks except MGM and they have some really interesting stuff in them!
