Does anyone know if WDW still offers animation classes?

I'm guessing they don't since the animation studios are gone. I looked at their web site and found nothing like it. Didn't they have such classes at The Disney Institute? I'm just hoping that there is something like it that WDW still offers. Anyone know?

My understanding is no. The closest you can get is the "Animation Academy" at Disneyquest. Hopefully I'm wrong, though -- that's one I always thought would be fun

Hey Rita ,
When we were there this past Christmas of '04, they were still offering the animation class where you sit with the paper and the CM shows you on the overhead how to draw the character...lasts about 20 minutes. DD, my future computer animator, has us going back many times over the course of our stay. I kept all the kids drawings, and DD was given one that one of the animators did of Mickey...it is so cool. I framed them when we got back with their signatures and dates....and they line the stairway to the kids bedrooms. It is in the way back where the tours were, only now you can access thru the store that you used to exit thru....right next to where Stanley (the toddler show is, and Little Mermaid is to the other side. We just loved it and spent a ton of time talking with the animators while waiting to go in to draw. We were so thankful it was still there!
DUH! It's at MGM, or at least it was in December!

Hey Pam! Great, that's another option.

DS is really into cartooning and wants to do something like that when we go this summer. He also wants to do one of the tours at MK, but I'll also check out what tours they offer at MGM.

Bah, I saw Rita had started a thread and then realized it was from April. I haven't heard from her since the hurricane. I'm assuming they're just without power but I've just been thinking of her.
