Does anyone know if they ever include discounts for the preferred rooms at POR ?

We are going the last week in May and would really like a discount on a preferred room. I have been checking off and on the wdw site when they have special offers but have never seen the preferred rooms listed as available for a discount? Does anyone know ? Thanks

We stayed at POR last July and got the 15% discount that was being offered for our Preferred room! So they have in the past!

Oh that would be great. I wonder if when I check on the wdw they are sold out quick ? Maybe that is why I never see any discounts for the preferred rooms. I hope we can get one

We stayed at POR in a preferred room last May and we received a discount. I had previously booked a standard at full price, but when the discounts were announced in January I called in to add the discount and changed to a preferred room.

I think they typically are included. At some deluxe resorts, some rooms receive a lower discount. Discounts are used to fill rooms so some destinations are either excluded or discounted at a lower percentage.

We got a bounce back offer for free dining and are in a preferred room. For our spring trip they were included in the RO discount, but I couldn't get it when we switched over to the AP discount. I don't know if they were excluded or if they were just out availability.

preferred rooms are discounted more often than standard anymore. A lot of the promotions now start with garden view and go up. It must just be an availability thing with the dates you are checking.

Royal Rooms are also almost always discounted, seems that they can't seem to sell them at full price.

public code. booked last Dec 27th on the first day for VISA discounts for those with Disney Visa cards.

Thanks all I now have a reservation booked for a preferred room at POR for 187.00 a night with a discount pin.
