Does anyone know if there is some way to get off of "baby" mailing lists?

Just wondering. Got a "toddler" diaper in the mail yesterday saying "Now, that your walking, here's a diaper that won't slow you down!"

Maybe I'm still too sensitive, but I don't want to keep getting reminders on what should have been. I've been getting them ever since I was originally pregnant with her and I really don't want them any more. So, I am wondering if there is a way to get off these lists?

Oh, Kristy. I'm so sorry! I don't know how to get off the list but I wanted to send a hug.
I think the companies should let their advertising do the talking and not send things to homes.

:grouphug: Was there a number on the packaging? Maybe you could call that and give a simple explanation that you don't wish to recieve their advertising/samples. No further info, just that...
Good luck and many hugs...

I just wanted to give you a big:hug:
I lost a baby and kept getting those reminders like that. Motherhood maternity called me to let me know a pair of pants in my size came in. DH had to tell them for me that I didn't need them. I couldn't do it. I kept getting things like coupons and diapers for about 3 months. It was hard but, I I was pregnant again 6 months after the miscarriage and it got alittle easier to deal with.
To answer your question, I'm sorry I really don't know how to get off those lists.

Oh Kristy, I understand totally! I am now getting things for the babies that I lost, as well as for the baby I am expecting in early June. I seem to have been able to unsubscribe from the email lists that I am somehow on, but haven't been able to find a way to stop the "snail" mail.

I don't know how to get off the lists, but I do know that Motherhood and Mimi maternity do sell your name if you have shopped there. Maybe check with them?

:hugs: It happened to me during my first pregnancy. I had contacted each company with an email and if that didn't work, I wrote them a letter saying that I had lost my child and no longer wish to recieve any mailings from your company.

I had to call every one of those places after I lost Kyle. I remember one of the companies telling me "You don't understand. If you have your name removed from our mailing list, we'll never be able to send you anything when you get pregnant again". I didn't care about any of that. I wanted those ever present reminders to stop. I could get a diaper coupon in the newspaper if I wanted to....I didn't need that from them! :earseek:

I'm so sorry. We get things for the baby we lost, too. It is hard. Unfortunately, you only have to fill out one card for every company to find out you're pregnant, but I think you'd have to make a million phone calls to make it all stop.

I'm so sorry!

Have you tried sending the mail back? Don't even open it, just write "return to sender" on the outside and throw it back in the mailbox. Sometimes that can help. We did that with mail we were getting for someone who never lived at our address and it's finally slowing down.

I'm so sorry. I've lost 5 and have learned to tell no one but my doctor and dh. But they still send them. I've even gotten phone calls. I don't know how they get my name, phone number and address! It's very hard, I know.
