We will be there on 11/11 and was just wondering if anyone has heard it will open early

thanks

Everything I have read doesn't make me very hopeful. I am wishing :tink: as well as we will be there from the 7th to the 14th.

The Train Conductor said that it would reopen in Novemember...I think I'll double check with Jade, but we saw them trimming the hedge animals and painting just before we went into the tunnel.

I thought the 'official' reopening date was November 21, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Sometimes they will open something up a little earlier. But the official start of the holiday season at DLR - with the full array of decorations and 'snow' and all that - is not until November 21, so they may be trying to time it with that since it will be the holiday version if IASW. However, if they have everything done as far as their refurbishment inside IASW and it is already decorated on the outside in holiday splendor (and you HAVE to see the outside of the building at night - gorgeous!), then they may very well just open it up early and let guests begin to enjoy!

I had heard that the new additions of the Disney characters to IASW will be in effect for the holiday version of the ride, but then on DISboards, I heard that the Disney characters will not be seen until after the holiday overlay is removed. In any case, there is something to look forward to either way!!!

He did give a exact date just said November but I didn't see any of the holiday stuff when we passed by the front...that doesnt mean it wasnt there I just didnt notice it if it was...lol

The they're probably going to add the Holiday stuff in Nov. or subtlety until the big opening...hmm should be interesting

and I did a typo in my last post it should read "He DIDN'T give an exact date..." lol

IASW is scheduled to reopen on November 29th.

The CM we spoke to last weekend definitely said Nov. 21, not the 29th (she said they like to open their holiday rides on Fridays, for whatever reason?? I have no idea why), but that doesn't mean she was right. Those CM's are often misinformed or get their facts wrong, as we have all discovered! Wouldn't be the first time that happened if the one we talked to last weekend was wrong! I am guessing that the official planned date of reopening for IASW would be the 29th, but if everything is moving ahead of schedule with no technical issues and they get the holiday decorations up early, they may be secretly planning to open it on November 21. We shall see!

Does anyone think that Disney may give dilberate misinformation to the CMs just to keep the public guessing...lol

Could be! And I should point out that the CM who gave IASWH the 11/21 opening date was also the one who said the French Market had a gingerbread something or other house from the HMH ride!!! And you said they told you they didn't have it! Nice as this lady was, maybe this CM we spoke to was an impostor CM, spreading miinformation all over the parks!!:rotfl:

In any case, I hope the CM was right - even accidentally - about the 11/21 IASWH opening, rather than 11/29. It would make a lot of folks happy who have been asking about it!

Well the conductor said it would reopen in Nov. no exact date...so who knows? It could be anytime between now and then...lol
